Excellent behavior therapy 1/15/2010

My son was having difficulty concentrating in school, and seemed a bit overly hyperactive. We took him to Second Story for to have an assessment for attention deficit disorder (ADD). The counselor was very thorough and explained that during psychotherapy, my son will learn there are rewards and consequences all behaviors. The counselor worked very close with both myself and my son to improve things at home and school. Now, things are a lot more settled and my son is starting to pull his grades back up and pay attention in class. I would reccomend this place for anyone who wants to learn behavior therapy techniques for young kids. Pros: Helped my son Cons: Can't complain. more

Effective Mental Health Counseling 1/14/2010

After breaking up with my boyfriend, and falling into a deep depression, I finally sought out mental health counseling. We had been dating for about 10 years before the breakup, and needed help after it ended. The therapists here were really warm, and understanding of my feelings. It took me a while to get past the relationship, and I'm thankful a place like this exists for people who are trying to move on with their lives. The counselors here really helped. Pros: Helps people with addictions Cons: Needs a bigger bathroom more

Awesome therapist for marriage and family counseling 1/14/2010

Our parents had been having trouble and we finally encouraged them to find a therapist for family and marriage counseling in Chicago. It got to the point where I seriously thought they might end up in divorce. Thanks to this place, they are spending more time together, and working out their marital problems. At first I was not sure if anyone could help them stay together, but after a few weeks, I could see the relationship counseling was starting to work. They actually brought our entire family in to talk about how we could help. All I can say is I suggest this place for anyone with relationship issues. Pros: Friendly therapists and nice office Cons: Have to walk up a flight of stairs more

Great Family & Marriage Therapist 1/14/2010

I was experiencing some bad problems at home, and heard from a friend that this place has a very good family and marriage therapist in Chicago on the north side. My husband was getting annoyed with the kids, and I was getting upset with him for yelling all the time. We met with Dr. John Moore, and talked about our relationship problems. The entire experience was professional, calm, and interesting. Pros: Great for marriage counseling Cons: Not open on Sunday's more
