Incredible 10/11/2010

My husband and I ate at Pappasito's for our one year anniversary. Times are getting hard so we knew we had to do something that would be light on the billfold. We couldn't have picked better as the food was incredible and the price was low for the grade of food. I can't wait to eat Pappasito's again!!! more

Party at Pappasito's 8/25/2008

My sister wanted to go to Pappasito's for her birthday. We waited to be seated for about 45 minutes but we did have a party of 15. When they finally seated us they sat us next to banquet room where someone was celebrating there birthday as well. They were loud and having alot of fun. The party eventually spilled over and we where singing and dancing right along with them. They have excellent Mojito's and Margarita's. The food was just okay to me. It is more American Mexican which is not my cup of tea. (mexican with pepper) All together is was a good experience and the waiters were very attentive. Pros: Fun and friendly environment Cons: Long wait for large parties and no reservations available more

Great! 8/18/2008

Thought the apps were good as well as the rest of our food. The service was good and the atmosphere was great. I would recommend this place to other and I would come here again. The prices are a little more than usual for the type of food...for some items it was worth it for others I found it to be overpriced but not out of this world. Pros: Atmosphere, food Cons: none really more

Good but 8/4/2008

Great food, moderate prices. I went here with some new co-workers from work and ahd lunch. It was good but it could have been better more

Horrible Customer Service 4/26/2008

Went there for my boyfriends birthday with a party of 8. The service was HORRIBLE. We had a server named chris, and it took him FOREVER to refill our drinks. He only did it once. Took forever to take our order, took forever to bring out our checks. I had to ask the hostess to get our waiter to bring out our checks. I saw other waiters walking around tables a whole lot, whereas our server never even checked up on our table after our food was served. Large portions of food, and it was pretty good. Pros: Food was good. Cons: Service was AWFUL more

Best Mexican Food in Town. 3/3/2008

I would recommend Papppasito's to anyone in the Atlanta Metro Area that loves Mexican food. This restaurant has a great atmosphere and incredible customer service. more

REALLY BIG PORTIONS and GREAT MARGARITA's 11/4/2007

If you want really good Tex-Mex and really large portions, this is the place. I have been to the ORIGINAL in Houston and it is amazing how consistent the quality is from location to location. We always get a Queso Dip & Chip appetizer and then split the Fajitas and with a Margarita it is all you can handle, so that makes the meal very affordable. Get there early so the crowds are not too bad and enjoy really good food at a reasonable price. Great for BIG PARTIES, the tables ar large enough to accomodate 8-10 people with no problem, that way you can taste everything! Pros: Large Portions and Very Good Drinks Cons: Crowded and very loud later in the evening more

Great fish tacos 3/3/2007

Seating was prompt. Great booth near bar. Chips and salsa were OK. Salsa was thin and drippy. Cokes was refilled promptly with plenty of ice. Fish tacos were huge, you get two. Beans were absolutely the best I've eaten in a very long time. Rice good too. Best part was the price; $13 for all that. Very nice. Pros: Great beans, fish tacos Cons: watery salsa more

Delicious Quale at a Mexican Restaurant... oh and a Mega banana split enough for the group 2/4/2007

I've visited Papasito's for the first time last November for my friends Birthday, we had over 30 in the group on a Friday night, the wait time was minimal (15-20 minutes). I've ordered the shrimp cocktail for appetizer, it was delicious, I finished it empty... and I also ordered a Quale and Ribs combo, the ribs wasn't good but the quale was just delicious, I had 2 whole quale, baked in fruity tangy and sweet sauce. I saw the Giga banana split but I was so full I couldn't oder it, I would like to try ordering the Giga banana split next time Pros: It's all very delicious with a huge portions of food, you won't go home hungry Cons: Only if the portions were smaller I can order more items on the menu more

Tastes like soap 2/1/2007

I know that sounds ridiculous, but this place tastes like soap. When we went to eat there, we were overwhelmed with the smell of soap when we walked in. But whatever, we ignored that. We ordered and ate, and like the other people said, the portions were huge, and the food was tasty. But everything had an underlying taste of soap. I couldn't get that aftertaste out of my mouth for hours! We ate there again another time, because we honestly did like the food and thought perhaps the first time was a fluke. But no, this time was just as bad. It's a real shame, because it could be really good. Some people said that maybe it's the cilantro, and that for some people, a lot of cilantro tastes a little soapy. But the soap taste permeated everything we ate there, including the chips! The second time we ate there, the soapy taste kept me from eating my meal, and it's really unfortunate too, because it could be so good! Pros: kid friendly, fun atmosphere Cons: tastes like soap more

Best Tex Mex in ATL 1/6/2007

i absolutely love papasito's. started going to many pappas family restaurants in houston. servers are usually great and friendly and the food is always excellent with huge portions and good prices! the best tex mex in atlanta. Pros: Great food, portions, value, parking, and atmosphere Cons: peak times have long waits (60 min.) but well worth it! more

Quality food, portions, and service 11/14/2006

This restaurant is based in Houston, Texas. Great food comes from Houston! Our entire family (from Texas) thinks all of the Pappas Restaurants are incredible. The food is always fresh, the service is usually great unless right out of training... which is pretty difficult, so we don't judge. The portions are HUGE and very tasteful. Come early (or late) because it gets very busy! They also have the best salsa!!-Free-with the best chips at any Tex-Mex restaurant anywhere in town! Highly recommended!!!! Pros: Food is delicious, Portions are incredible Cons: can get VERY busy- just go to the bar til your table is ready more

the best!! 3/15/2005

My first experience was in Houston TX, where i fell in love with them. Their salsa is awesome, their Fajita's to die for, just great food!! more
