I have always held Sears in high regard. I also appreciate local business and try to patronize ""home town"" merchants whenever possible. In Dec 2009 I purchased a refrigerator and Kenmore washer/dryer combo from the Enumclaw Home Town Sears. In just over three years my washer was diagnosed as worn out by a Sears technician who quoted $400 to repair it. Seriously? Kenmore, I have painfully discovered, makes junk. Sears, I have painfully discovered, sells it. They know it is junk because they vigorously push new customers to buy the expensive extended warranty protection plans at time of purchase. Real customer service be damned...profit is the bottom line. I am now carting a three year old top of the line Kenmore washer to the scrapper. My business will be re-directed elsewhere as the Enumclaw Sears owner had no sympathy or consideration for my customer loyalty or situation. Don't buy anything from Sears...especially the Enumclaw store. \r
