Seaport Salon & Day Spa

I have been a loyal customer of Sue's for over twenty five years and have never had a bad experience. I just had another wonderful experience this morning and told her that I was shocked to see this reckless, bad review and unfair vendetta. I heard the whole story. Face it, You made an appointment and forgot about it. Sue tried to work with you and then you were late for the reschedule. Now this smear job. You should be ashamed. By the way. In twenty five years, Seaport has never booked me on the wrong day. Form your own opinions people. more

Save your money and your sanity....THIS PLACE SUCKS!!! I bought a groupon for $75 for a couples massage here for my boyfriend for valentine's day. He booked it for our anniversary, a month and a half in advance!! They booked it for the WRONG MONTH (one month earlier than we requested), then NEVER called to remind us so when we ""no-showed"" on the wrong date they had us penciled in for, they said they'd only honor one of the two massages. Begrudingly, I accepted it and we rebooked the massage for my boyfriend. His appt was TODAY and we called to see if the owner would let us reschedule it for three days later (almost two hours befor the appt) because we got stuck in torrential down pours and Bruins Parade traffic. The owner (who is the WORST customer service person I've ever encountered) said she'd try to catch the massage therapist (KAREN, who now ALSO SUCKS) before she arrived at the salon but to still try to come in for the appt. We rushed on our bikes IN THE POURING RAIN home to somerville, and when we had to pull over the SECOND time in the rain (now 45 minutes before the appt) we called the salon AGAIN. The owner answered again and when we gave her our status she said to still just come in and try to get there as the massage therapist had not returned her phone calls. After much ado, we arrived home, jumped in the car and got to Lynn (all the way from Somerville at $4 a frigging gallon). My boyfriend walked in at 4:16 (16 mins late and after two phone calls saying we'd be late) to find out that massage therapist had left at ten minutes after four. she waited TEN MINUTES, then LEFT, after everything we went throught...and you know why she did? Becuase the stupid, horrible, rotten owner said the groupon was now fully void. So, not only did my boyfriend drive the fiffteen miles to Lynn to a masseussless salon, but his groupon, his valentine's gift from me(our first val day together) will no longer be honored. Thank you Seaport Day Spa for ruining our Valentine's day and for using a massage to ADD to our stress instead of taking it away. Awesome. P.S. The only reason i gave it a star was because it wouldn't let me do any less. more

I really enjoyed my experience at Seaport Salon & Day Spa. The staff was friendly when I booked my appointment over the phone, and greeted me as soon as I walked in. The salon was very clean and the decor was pretty. Brent, the massage therapist had "magic hands" and worked out all my kinks. After my massage I decided to see if they could squeeze me in for a haircut, and Sue, the owner, was able to seat me right away. My haircut came out perfect. I was offered refreshments, including a variety of teas in cute little teacups! I booked my next appointment as I cashed out, and I also picked up two of their signature scented candles (Lovespell and Magnolia!) and their collagen-elastin cream (which I can't wait to try!) Overall this was an excellent experience and I told them I would be recommending them to all my friends, at which point I was told I could even book for private group parties! So to anyone who reads this, I say go! Try them out, I'm sure you will be as pleased as I was. =) more

Seaport Salon and Day Spa is a great experience. Not a typical spa. It is relaxing, yet fun. They have a very down to earth, but professional staff. I want everyone to get me gift certifciates for all occassions to this spa. I am looking forward to my mini makeover. Loved my massage for two with my boyfriend. He even liked the facial and pedicure that we got together. I can't wait for our couples makeover. Pros: Plenty of Parking, Beautiful location on the ocean, great service Cons: I have all good to say about this place more

This salon and spa was unlike any I have ever been to; because the services are provided by real people, as opposed to people that think they have to act snooty to portray a certain image. Anyone can feel comfortable here, a first timer, a mom, two friends. I had a one hour Swedish massage, the best pedicure I have ever gotten, and a truly beautiful haircut. The owner has been cutting hair for more than 20 years and it shows in her work. The massage therapists are professional, courteous, and very knowledgeable. And I can't even begin to tell you how great my feet feel. I look forward to booking another appointment, I would truly recommend this spa to everyone I know.
