Seaford Pet Emporium

This is an awesome place, family owned and operated. I have been dealing with Ed since he had the first store on High Street. I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else. He takes great care of everything in that store. It is the cleanest pet store I have ever been in. I bought a puppy there 5 years ago, she was and is very happy and healthy and I would not trade her for anything. All animals are going to be prone to some health problem or another at some level or unwelcome characteristic, just like people. That can't be blamed on the pet shop owner. I buy all my fish from there and have never had a problem. Their tanks are always clean and healthy as well as everything in that store. Their staff is always very friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend them for all your pet needs. more

I have a 3 1/2 yr old Yorkie from pet emporium. This poor dog has so many issues, she's on prozac, she's aggressive, she has anxiety. I had no idea what puppy mills were when i got her, had I known I would not have gotten a puppy there. I love my dog, but have had her in training for months, tried all kinds of things to try to help her and with no improvement. Now I may be forced to part with my dog b/c of her aggression and I've had her since she was only 2 lbs. I love her to spite her faults, but always taking a chance, not knowing how she will act next...loving one minute and nasty ready to bite you the next. It's heart breaking to say the least. I'm convinced she came from a puppy mill, had way too many shots too early as the vet confirmed and was more than likely taken from her mother too soon. I will never buy another pet from Seaford Pet Emporium. more

I buy all my pet food here; fish, dog and cat. They have a nice selection of the different brands. more

The fish are in terrible condition! The only reason I go to seaford pet emporium is because they have a good selection. Too bad they only have a three day return policy on all of their sick, worm infested fish that live in water that looks like milk. NEVER BUY FISH HERE!!! I get a 30 day return policy at Salisbury Superpet! more

I have nothing but nice things to say about Seaford Pet Emporium. I think their employees are the best. They are all very nice and make sure I always get what I am looking for. They do a great job and I wouldn't suggest they change a thing! more

I come to the Seaford Pet Emporium to pick up new fish, fish food, and some dog food. All the employees here are very nice, they make sure I've gotten when I stopped in for, and just do a nice job. I've been happy with the selection they've had, and generally just been happy with the store. It's a nice pet store. more

This is a disgusting, dirty, nasty place. I walked around a while and got the creeps. I felt like something was crawling on me, probably the roaches that are eating the foods on the shelves. This place needs to be shut down by the state! My god, don't they ever check into pet stores anymore? The animals are in pitiful conditions and the staff is not knowledgable at all. Go elsewhere if you value your hard earned money. more

My beautiful little puppy died after only having her a few months. Just long enough for my children and I to get attached to her. The employees seemed nice, but the owner was very rude and uncaring. They get you to purchase a pet while signing a contract which only lasts 7days. After that, they take no responsibility for the animal. The same thing has happened to several of my friends...these people are the lowest of the low....poor animals...my 8 yr old son is the one who discovered our deceased pet who, apparently had a case of cardiac Parvo. Don't buy your pet here unless you like having your heart broken. If I could I would of given NO STARS!!!! more

Ed and Joey have been very helpfull and friendly. Any questions we have they have been able to answer. We have bought pets and supplies from them and have been truley happy. I think they work hard and provide a great service to our community. Pets are not cheap and take responsible people to take care of them. You must know what you are getting into before you bring them home. We love this place. Pros: One stop shop! more

That place stinks the puppies are all sold to us customers very sick. I spent $2000 on a dog that was so sick that it had to live in an oxygen bubble to just stay alive and not to mention the money I had to put out to keep the puppy alive. He sold me a puppy from a puppy mill and didn't even care he said bring it back and he will give me a new one. Who does that after you and your family have bonded with a dog. Ed is a very heartless person to be owning a pet store. I'd never go there again and either is about the 175 people I have told my story too so far, that is... Pros: None at all! They are rude, act like they know everything when they know nothing.... Knowingly gave my husband and me a sick dog and then tried to skip around it. They have a paper that they make you sign. I never saw it. My husband was told it was just a paper signing the puppy over. The fine print read that they had a right to sell us whatever in WHATEVER CONDITION. Someone only puts something like that if they are intentionally selling something that ten to one is going to have an issue at some point. These people should not be selling pets! They should be put out of business and put through what they do to these animals. Pros: ZERO Cons: EVERYTHING! more

My main gripe is the fact that they aren't very knowledgeable and gave me false information on feeding for my fish. Also while asking a question an employee just walked away and went to another room without answering or saying he would be right back. Not very friendly they have a VERY small selection of pets for it to be a pet shop and i found the fish tanks to be really dirty with fish that didn't even have a nice natural coat and sold me a dead feeder fish. Not to mention I bought 20 snails that died within a week while the six I had in the tank previous survived in the tank. I wish the area could get a decent pet store, because i wouldn't mind higher prices for customer service and a nicer place... I would not have given them any stars but in order to post it I have to give them something. I went in here and it was absolutely horrific. The place stunk, the puppies were crammed into small cages where they could not even move around in, the groomer was yelling at the dog she was grooming because he was scared of the dryer, the bird cages were disgusting and the dogs come from puppy mills. Please do not give these pigs any more money. Cons: Everything, not clean at all, no animals were taken care of at all more
