January 10th, 2014 was a life saving decision I had to make. All my life I have fought with gum disease. I have been off and on antibiotics constantly trying to cure my reoccurring gum infections. I am allergic to so many antibiotics and now I was fighting one of the worse infection I have ever had. It was so bad it was going up into my left eye and causing my whole face to swell up. I had no choice but to have all my upper teeth extracted and dentures made. Being a woman, I took this very emotionally thinking I will never be the same. I had to let go of my vanity and put my health first. Dr. Steve Peters put me at ease acting like it was no big deal and I would regain my health and back to normal in 6 months. So January 10th I did it. With a mouth full of stiches Dr. Steve Peters put my dentures in. A week later my stiches came out, In 3 weeks I had my soft liner put in but all through this I would try eating solids anyway. Here it is only February 22nd, not even 2 months since oral surgery and my new teeth and I'm eating pizza and whatever I can get in my mouth not to mention all the compliments I continually get how beautiful my smile is. I am happy with the job and time Dr. Steve Peters has invested in me. He is truly a caring and compassionate family man. Plus he has a great sense of humor and a positive attitude. My upper dentures fit like a comfortable pair of slippers. My teeth are perfect for my mouth. Thank you Dr. Steve Peters! I can't quit smiling and I hope I don't gain too much weight!\r Susie more

I had my dentures made at Kamilche Dental Center, The denture dentist was very rude, My dentures broke right away, in half, from a toasted bagal. tThey fixed them twice and the Dr, said I need to learn how to eat. He was horrible to me, Now Medicare/medicaid don't pay to repair them and they are broke in half again. I have four stints in my heart and I'm supose to eat right. Carrots and things like that. But I have no teeth, Since my teeth broke so easy the first time, It seems to me, that the dentist didn't mold them correct. Being that, he should pay for a new set. or at least fix them again, But since they break in half every other month, he should get me a new pair.. Not my fault that I can't eat a bagal! more

I walked into the dentist for the very first time with close to no previous dental history. I was of course nervous. But my top left wisdom tooth is coming in and the pain is absolutely unbearable. For $55 I got the exam and x-ray, which showed that my wisdom tooth was on top of a tooth that was already severely damaged. Their solution was to remove the goner tooth and let the wisdom tooth come in and replace it. He placed the gel medication on my tooth to numb it, then put a series of Novocaine injections into my gums. I didn't feel it at all but I did end up tasting a lot of it, which I will get to later. He took extreme care to make sure that I was in no pain. He acknowledged the other problems in my mouth but only focused on what needed to be done that day and set up another appointment for a later date. He explained everything that he was going to do before he did it and calmed me down. There was absolutely no problems with my tooth extraction. He tried pulling on it but ultimately had to split it into two or three sections and break it through that way. It sounds painful but I barely even felt the pressure. The female dental assistant and/or dentist that helped him was great. When the clamps dug into my bottom lip (not medicated so the stretching did hurt) she massaged my bottom lip and gums and was there to suck up every drop of blood and droplet of medication that trickled onto my tongue the second she found out I had a bad gag reflex. She was amazing. Afterwards, because he knew there would be a wait for my Vicodin prescription, he even gave me another shot or two of Novocaine. Which turned out to be perfect because Walmart was not speedy about it. I am now at home, WITH a prescription of 20 pills, with clear printed out instructions on what to expect after surgery and even a meal plan of soft foods to buy from the store. This is the only dentist I will go see. I saw another review on this site discuss Dr. Sergey and that is not the dentist that I had. I am sure that the experience at Kamilche Dental Center changes depending on who you see and what you are there for. more

The review posted Jan 06,2010 by jules788567 is for another dentist . The Dentist who saw him was Sergey Yangolenko. Dr. Scudder does not own the kamilchi Dental center. Why citysearch doesn't fix this error is beyond me. As far as i know there are no posted reviews for Dr Scudder on the internet. more

Dr. Sergey is a horrible dentist. I went in to have 2 teeth extracted, but the novocain was not working like it should (apparently due to the infection) after he pulled the gums away from the teeth and started to pull, I felt one of the worst pains of my life. He tried telling me that it was just pressure and kept going until I grabbed his wrist. I have had 5 teeth extracted and I know the difference between pain and pressure. So the told me ""It should not hurt much more than it already did"" and sent me home with nothing for the pain, with my gums now all tore up and 2 teeth with nerves still exposed. I was told Dr. Sergey ""does not believe in pain killers"" It was not until the next morning when I woke with a mouth full of blood that I realized they had sent me home with no cleaning instructions for my now very tore up gums. Never send anyone you care about to this guy. This is by far the worst dental experience of my life. Pros: Cost Cons: Dr Sergey more
