Scuba Center

I've had two dealings with the Scuba Center that set it apart from the other dive shops in the area -- and both have been negative. Example: bought an $80 snorkel that bled water. Not sure why, don't care why. Been diving and snorkeling for 20 years. Had to buy a new one in Cozumel. Brought it back and, after grilling me, huffing and staring, and then pulling it apart, they handed it back to me and essentially said ""tough luck, we don't see any problem."" Second experience was equally unpleasant, and I'm a pretty easy-going guy. Be careful. Pros: Nice young lady. Cons: Customer service and policies. more

I was very apprehensive about taking scuba lessons, and that is why I signed up for lessons at the scuba center! (THEY HAVE THEIR OWN POOL ON SITE!!!!) The whole experience I had with the instructors and staff was wonderful. They were very knowledgable and friendly, and when I was having trouble in class they spent extra time outside of normal class hours to make sure I was comfortable in the pool with the SCUBA equipment and skills. I really enjoyed the whole experience I had with them and recommend them to everyone that is interested in SCUBA diving!!! Pros: Everyone was so friendly and skilled. Best equipment on the market for diving. Cons: Only sell high end equipment, so its a little pricey but you get what you pay for. more
