Scratching Post Cat Hospital

Dr. Summers was my cat?s first veterinarian since I adopted her almost three years ago. He came highly recommended by a friend. I am extremely grateful to him and his staff for the great care they have given her. He is gentle, kind and thorough while keeping his prices reasonable. His approach to her care is practical and he has never sold me unnecessary services or treatments. The hospital also has natural products available to supplement traditional medicine, which I appreciate. Their office is beautiful and very clean (without the unpleasant scent of ?sterile?). Scratching Post is the best vet I have EVER been to in 20 years of owning cats. The office is super clean and modern - painted bright and cheery and soothing colors. The staff is SUPER friendly and knowledgable. Dr. Summers is super patient, nice, and great with my cat (who can be a little rough around the edges, to put it mildly). He explains everything thoroughly and makes sure you understand. He never rushes you along. He always calls after any type of procedure to make sure the cat is doing OK and make sure there are no unanswered questions. I also board my cat at the ""hotel"" downstairs regularly (like every 3-4 months or so for a week or so at a time). The boarding cages are large and you can even get a double (they open up a ""door"" in between) or a luxury condo. The cats get equal time in the ""play room"" which is HUGE!! My cat never wants to come home from Scratching Post! They also encourage you to call them and ""check in"" on your cat while you are away, if you so desire. Their hours are convenient for people who work during the day (like myself) because they are open until 7:00 PM! And their prices are VERY reasonable. I have paid much, MUCH more in the past for seriously inferior service. There is a good chance I will be moving out of town soon and I am going to really, REALLY miss this place. I trust them 100% with my cat and I cannot even come close to saying that about any other vet I've ever been to. Pros: Knowledgable and caring staff, super clean & modern office more

Dr. Summers was very gentle, patient and thorough. He explained everything in plain English and gave me treatment options. I didn't feel pressured to do a bunch of tests or rushed out in minutes. He even called me a day later to see how my cat was doing. Who does that ? His staff was very warm and caring too. I definitely would trust my fur babies to them.
