Scott Sedita Studios: a place to grow 12/7/2011

I would recommend Sedita Studios to almost any actor out there. The actors that wouldn't do well there are those who cant take the open truth, and to you, good luck in the acting world. Scott is a very caring, nurturing teacher with an in-depth eye for true emotion. He, along with the other teachers on staff, have a trained ability to tell if your acting is coming from a place of honesty or if you're just pretending. They quickly spot your faults, weaknesses and any other obstacle that is holding you back from real expression and will weekly recommend different suggestions on how to overcome that particular fault. ONLY ATTEND IF YOU ARE PREPARED TO WORK. I learned this the hard way multiple times when coming in unprepared. Its embarrassing, and only promotes bad habits- so if your lazy, just go to a teacher that will be nice to you when your not putting forth your best effort because Scott and staff care too much to let that happen. Overall, this is studio is easily one of the best. Quality teachers that will push you hard to the next level, talented classmates that will help you see it from a different perspective, and a studio that is more like a community than anything else. more

Scott Sedita Review 11/29/2011

I have been attending SSAS since last January attending his on camera sitcom comedy class along with progressing through his on camera audition technique classes. It has been the best experience I have had in my journey to become a successful actor. The techniques along with Scott's books have shown me and my fellow actors that what he teachers does work. The best part about class is the amount of work I actually get in. At least three times a night every student gets to go up and preform what was assigned to us. Scott then gives a personal interaction to help improve each actor and bring them to the most natural moment for their scene. I love going to class twice a week, and will continue to work with SSAS for as long as I can!! more

Scott Sedita Acting Studios 11/28/2011

Finally a studio that looks at each student as an individual rather than just another check. Scott, Debra and Tony are all incredible teachers and have helped me break through the barriers that were preventing me from taking my career to the next level. Honest evaluation, continuous feedback in an encouraging atmosphere are just a few of the reasons why I support this studio. Also actors from this studio get work! There are a lot of studios in LA, but after attending some of the other's they were a waste of time in comparision to Scott. Only wish I had found them earlier! more

Comedy is back, yet it's ALWAYS been here! :) 11/17/2011

With pilot season quickly approaching and more and more comedies on television, I couldn't be more enthusiastic about my classes at Scott Sedita Acting Studios. I've been at the studio for a number of years and continue to stay in class because for someone who really wants to do comedy- this is the place to be. Scott's book ""The Eight Characters of Comedy"" is a great launching point, but the class continues that education and helps you find your specific comedic voice and heighten it to really bring the funny. You work in every class and Scott is always finding great, new fresh scenes. I couldn't recommend this class more! :) more

Teacher and a Mentor 6/16/2011

I've been taking acting class at Scott Sedita Acting Studio for several months now. It was a New Year's goal of mine to start taking acting classes at his studio. I can't tell you how happy I am to have followed through on that goal. The class that I've been taking is the on-going sitcom class. I have grown so much over the past few months. In fact, all kinds of other doors started opening up for me since I started taking class with him. My progress in class continues to evolve, and, at this point in my training we are really starting to get specific about the characters I should play. This guidance is invaluable. The thing is that Scott Sedita invests in you when you take class with him, and I can't say that about any other teacher that I have studied with, even my college professors! more

What Would I Do Without It! 5/18/2011

Be conversational: Write as if relaying your experience to a good friend. \r \r Be thorough: Mention your favorite products or services offered by this business, such as menu items, home delivery or spa treatments. \r Before Scott Sedita Acting Studios (SSAS) I was always behind my own wall, too scared to pursue a career in acting. When I started SSAS my wall broke down and it was all because of the great teachers there. Without them I would not have been the actor and person that I am today. The amazing teachers at SSAS really helped me form my craft into something I can truly be confident about. \r \r The atmosphere is upbeat and energetic and there is never a down moment. SSAS has everything to offer and really helps make an actor an actor. The feedback after a scene really helps a person to understand his/her stronger and weaker points in a scene which helps the actor to understand what he/she needs to work on.\r \r Although the classes are group classes, the teaching and learning is very intimate because the teacher makes sure to help each and every student so that the student can progress in his/her acting. The classes feel one-on-one because the teacher makes sure to help every student on his/her craft. I honestly cannot imagine where I would be without SSAS because it has helped me get to where I am today in acting and I could not be happier.\r Be local: Identify the neighborhood where the business is located and mention nearby attractions when relevant. more

BEST ACTING SCHOOL IN LA 4/1/2011

OK, Scott Sedita's studio is fantastic. I have done comedy there -one day sitcom comedy intensive- and i have done drama classes. All the staff are amazing! Scott is so great to work with. He is incredibly knowledgeable and knows just how to talk to actors. I am so happy with this studio I can not tell you! It is in a great location too... Larchmont blvd, a stones through from some excellent places to eat! ;) more

I Agree, It's Great 5/10/2007

I totally agree with the reviews posted below. I've taken class at the Scott Sedita Studios, and they were great. I actually just finished the Commercial class with Josh Rappaport, and my callbacks are higher. He helped me to\r even to be a better actor in regular audtions too. I still have people mention the studio when they see it on my resume. more

Hands down, the best acting school in Los Angeles 5/2/2007

As a successful working actor in Los Angeles, I have attended countless classes all over town. The place I keep coming back to is Scott Sedita Acting Studios. I must have taken almost every class they offer. If you are at all interested in working in Sitcoms, ""The One-Day Comedy Intensive with Scott Sedita"" is a must for your resume. I've actually read breakdowns that said not to bother submitting if you haven't taken it. I'm currently in the on-camera comedy maintenance class with Todd Rohrbacher, and I can't wait for class every week. I started out in Scott Tiler's Nuts & Bolts class and then spent some time his on-camera TV and Film Drama class. He really brought me out of my shell, and made me realize that acting is my passion and what I want to do with my life! His emotional exercises are the perfect way to wipe away the stress of the day, and open up! I would recommend this place to ANYONE! Pros: great instructors and staff, clean state-of-the-art studio, affordable, work a lot each class, easy parking more

Take this class! 7/12/2006

I highly recommend Jorge Pallo's on camera class to anyone and everyone who wants a fresh and innovative way to advance and grow within their acting careers. I had the opportunity to train with Jorge for the past 6 months and the transformation I have seen in myself and in my classmates has been phenomonal. The class not only offers the opportunity to work continuously with special attention and personal time but it also offers skills, warm ups, better understanding of characters, and how to approach scenes, monologues, or anything else that may be thrown your way. It is knowledge that you will be able to take with you throughout your career and in life. This class touches everything and anything that you would normally pay for in taking numerous classes, only to be found in just this one class with Jorge. There are always surprises and challenges that keep you on your toes and help you grow as an actor. Take this Class!!!! Pros: Personal attention, wroking continuously, and so much more more

FINALLY!! All the classes I need in one place! 1/12/2006

Drama, comedy, commercials, empowerment classes all in one studio. I've taken the comedy intensive with Scott Sedita, who was the acting coach on ""Fight for Fame"", and drama classes with Scott Tiler. Tiler also teaches an empowerment class that has been really amazing for me. This studio is perfect for the actor who wants to be well rounded. Great community of FRIENDLY actors who are constantly booking. The well- connected staff is super career conscious and understands what the industry is looking for...Very affordable classes and they even give you a break when you sign up for more than one class. I'm a far better actress since I've been with this studio... Pros: Easy parking, Affordable, variety of classes more

Scott Sedita Acting Studios 6/7/2004

Scott Sedita is a comedic genius! I've never had an acting coach who not only understands Half-Hour comedy as well as Scott does, but is able to break down and teach what makes funny, funny! Scott has a unique approach to helping each student identify their personal strengths as well as obstacles to overcome. Due to this personal attention and feedback, I have grown tremendously as an actor in just a few short months. Scott Sedita makes you want to be the best you can be, by helping you see your potential! more

Scott Sedita Acting Studio 5/10/2004

This is hands-down, the very BEST class around! If you are just beginning to act, or are a seasoned veteran, this is the place to be in the world of acting classes. I have never been happier or learned more than I have with Scott Sedita and his crew. His classes are fun, informative, and you work non-stop. Scott will do anything and everything to help you become the best actor you can possibly be. He uses his knowlege, personality, and charisma to reach every actor on a personal level. Because of him, I know I will have a long, prosperous career. I can't stress enough how AMAZING of an experience it is to be a part of Scott's Studio! Pros: Affordable, Good parking, Work all the time more

great class for all levels 3/18/2004

This is the place to be if you want to have a career an acting and don't want to be a Scientologist. Whether you are starting out or have been acting for years, this is the place to study. You can take Scene study classes or audition technique classes for theatrical or commercial auditions. They also offer improv and intensive classes. Priced very reasonably as well. Pros: no sugar coating more
