This is our to go place! It has never disappointed. The food , the service and the creative drinks are above comparison especially in this price range. We eat outside or inside and have never had to search for the wait staff as if we were forgotten. The sweet potato fries are exceptional. Anything pork is done to perfection and the sea food offerings are always a treat. It is a fun, cheery atmosphere and repeat trips don't get stale. more

Well rounded menu features seafood, pasta, meats/steaks, all fresh salads, soups, veggies, etc. A friend loves the mashed potatoes served here. Wine selection is nice, plus full bar. My wife and I love this restaurant and come back on a regular basis... She always goes for the Lamb Shank slow-cooked to perfection and I always go for their skirt steak. Their Sweet Potato fries are spectacular and their wine selection is offers a wide range of choices to fit your different moods. They also have a full liquor license in case you need something a bit stronger... The place is usually pretty busy so I recommend that you make a reservation if possible although if you show up, the wait is usually not that long. You got a hunger that needs to be filled then come here. Tony Puchi makes sure that the front of the house is always running smoothly. The food is so fresh and tasty. The mashed potatoes are real -good and lumpy. All the grilled meats are spicy and fresh. But not over-spiced. Even the salads are unique and huge. Try some of the daily specials The fish tastes like it jumped out of the ocean five minutes ago. Maria suggested the mahi-mahi with a special tropical salsa. She made sure our drinks were re filled. I let my son choose a restaurant for his high school graduation and he chose Scorch since he had been there before. I had never been so was a little nervous but I did not need to be. It was GREAT! We took 16 people, from children to people in their 80's from all different countries. Everyone found someting they loved. I had the seared tuna - fabulous! My son and husband had the ""Scorch Steak"" which they loved but was so big they each took some home. They allowed us to bring our own cakes and did not complain when I brought 3 different cakes and graciously served them without any problem. Our waiters were wonderful - professional, made us feel at home. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. They also have a nice wine list and interesting beers. Meatlovers this is your place. Lots of steaks, chops and tasty specials to choose from. They even have fish for those who prefer. But the meats are cooked to perfection and have great sauces. Everything here is fresh. The meat, salads, everything. Recently we had massages down the street and mentioned that we were hungry. My facialist recommended Scorch, saying that we wouldn't be sorry. She was right on. My boyfriend had the steak with (real)mashed potatoes and I hade the fish special. Mama Mia! What a treat. Everything was perfect. Good service, delicious food and tereffic prices. Warning-don't be tempted to go next door to Dairy Queeen. It isn't worth it. Better to have dessert at Scorch or wait till you get home. Even though the DQ is connected physically to Scorch it isn't worth it. Scorch has some fairly good desserts. Otherwise, wait till you get home. Since we discovered Scorch, we have been back more than a handful of times and it never dissapoints. Their diverse menu has something to satisfy all tastebuds. Our large group was graciously seated by the owner Tony, a very pleasant, gregarious man. He kept returning to our table to see that everything was o.k. That's such a nice touuch, and we really appreciated his interest. The food is fresh and tasty. The Scorch salad, Scorch rice and fresh fish are some of the best choices. But if you really want a deal have a pitcher of Sangria for only $7. It's a great deal, even though they could jazz it up a bit. It's a little too sweet and bland- How about some Brandy to give it a kick? Service is pretty good and prices are very fair. All in all, a good time was had by all! We really enjoyed our food, but, unfortunately the waiter was terrible. This was a first for Scorch, so we'll give it another try. Usually the service is impeccable, but our waiter seemed to have other things on his mind. He kept forgetting to bring us water, more wine, etc. It was annoying, but at least the food was good, except for the mashed potatoes. When they first opened the mashed potatoes tasted home-made; the last 2 visits they were too smooth (what happend to the lumps, that make it really tasty?)and the Scorch salad also seems to have changed- not as crisp as before. A successful business begins at the top. Scorch Grillhouse has incredible owners who are ver ""hands-on"" and it shows. Everything runs smoothly-service is better than most, food is super-fresh & tasty. the ambiance is lovely. As long as management takes such an active role, success is almost guaranteed. Mark this address-this is the place! Great food, service, prices. My facialist recommended that we lunch here, and let me tell you-she was right on the money! We even had a HUGE caraffe of white sangria with our fresh, fresh, fresh fish! Maybe I should stop reading the Herald for food reviews and listen to what my facialist, or masseuse, or hair stylist, or butcher says! They all seem to know the beat places!
