sconyers is a must do --- 9/18/2005

you have to experience sconyers at least once while in augusta, the very same bbq that was served to presidents is hidden in the woods with gold fish pond, rocking chairs on the front porch, and as many pig figurines as your mind can grasp. You can take home, eat in but make sure you grab some pork rinds and the jug of peppermints to have for later! more

Sconyer's BBQ: Southern BBQ and Ribs 8/15/2005

Sconyer's is a beautiful setting that offers a variety of BBQ plates and ribs. With generous platters of hash and pork or smoked turkey in a rustic two story log cabin. They have three big fireplaces that are lit to warm in the winter. You can almost always see someone you know there. Their staff is very friendly. Be sure to take a stick of peppermint on the way out! The owner was even our mayor. more

  • Serving since 1990, Schu's Grill & Bar is a full-service restaurant that features a handcrafted fieldstone fireplace. It offers a variety of food items, including appetizers, soups, salads, entrees, sandwiches and pasta dishes. The restaurant s menu includes a range of chicken items and seafood dishes. Its side dishes include french fries, seasonal vegetables, broccoli slaw and baked potatoes. The restaurant serves a selection of wines, such as sauvignon blanc, pinot grigio, chardonnay and merlot. In addition, it offers a variety of beverages, such as Pepsi, lemonade, iced tea and coffee. The restaurant provides a range of desserts, such as chocolate cake, cheesecake and toffees. Schu's Grill & Bar is located in St. Joseph, Mich.
