Had some work done here, which was done well (as good as it gets in Ithaca) but expensive. Second time I came around, the son of the owner had a completely nasty attitude and quoted me a ridiculous price. Due to his demeanor and his condescending tone, I am taking my business elsewhere. Too bad there is not much choice around Ithaca. If you can get somewhere else, I would go for it. The jeweler right next to Schooley's in the commons was a lot nicer. more

Incompetent Jewelers and Horrible Customer Service 8/12/2011

I recently brought in 2 wedding bands to be resized and engraved. Both rings were engraved incorrectly! And a diamond fell out of my wedding band as they were working on it. Instead of offering to fix their mistakes, I found myself arguing with them. The owner did not understand how the engraving was incorrect when it clearly did not match what was written when we ordered the engraving (the formatting of the dates was wrong). Also, they claimed that my rather expensive wedding ring (purchased elsewhere) was to blame for the diamond that fell out of it while it was in their care. They were going to charge me up to $100 to fix their mistake. more
