Schoenfelder Painting did a very large exterior painting project that turned out really good. It was part of a larger project and it had to get painted in short notice for an upcoming event at that location. We called multiple contractors and they were the only ones that committed to getting it done in a 30-day window which was pretty incredible. They got it done as promised at a competitive price. more

I'm the president of a town house association of 72 homes and we have Schoenfelder Renovations do painting for us on a three year cycle. They do a good job, their people are neat, clean, and they take care of the place. Many of the residents are original homeowners and are very fussy. If there is a question or complaint, Schoenfelder sends out a manager to mediate and take care of it, whatever it may be. We were able to mediate one situation in which the homeowner was in the wrong and Schoenfelder did a good job of keeping their cool. They made it very amicable so we could settle the situation. We send out letters notifying the residents when there will be painting. After we went through the second painting cycle, Mr. Schoenfelder himself came to our last board meeting to see what he could do to work with us and make sure all the homeowners would get the information they needed in a clear and timely fashion. They are very considerate, even making available quart cans of paint for us to use for touch ups. As president of a homeowners association, I'd happily recommend this company. more

We wanted to put in siding around the building but it needed some freshening up for aesthetic reasons but we had a small window to do it in. We've been using Schoenfelder Renovations since May of 2010 to do work on our student housing campus near the University of Minnesota. We've used them for a plethora of different projects including, but not limited to, turn sign painting, drywall repairs, painting common areas, concrete work and fixing sidewalks. They also redid our parking lot. They dug it up, laid down the grade level and the asphalt, and then sealcoated the whole thing. That was a pretty big project. Overall they have done a great job on the work they've done, and I will use them again. We've continued with them because honestly, they are competitive with their pricing. I've also formed a pretty strong business relationship with Mark, who is one of the partners, and some of the managers who come onsite. They know exactly what I need and when I need it. I know that if, or when, I need something done, they will be there to help out. If you're thinking of using them, you will be happy with the work when it's done. more

Schoenfelder Renovations pained the exterior of the entire house and replaced all the windows. They kept in contact with me on a continuing basis. They were doing a lot of other repairs because of the storm but they were very timely and did what it took to get the job done in a timely fashion. more

I actually worked with Schoenfelder Renovations years ago when I was in college, so I know the history of the business. I saw how everyone, from the project manager to the president of the company, responded to customer questions and comments throughout the whole process. It was always easy to get an answer if you had a question. They're very customer, and customer satisfaction, oriented. I called them when I had some damage from wind and hale from a summer storm. They installed new roofing, windows and siding. They also did some painting, and they did it all in the last few months. Everything went well, and for the most part everything went according to the plans and timelines that were communicated to me before the work started. The work was done through an insurance claim, and the whole process was pretty hands off in regards to my interacting with the insurance company. Schoenfelder dealt directly with them, shouldering the responsibility of dealing with them. Prior to that work, I had them do some exterior painting. So I knew what kind of work they did and the kind of contractors they use for exterior house painting. Because of that experience, I was very comfortable using them for general contracting work. They are very customer satisfaction focused and want to do what is right for the customer or homeowner. They will go to great lengths to make sure you are happy before they leave the job site on a daily basis as well as before finishing the whole job. I would recommend them because they make sure you get what you were told you were going to get and that you're happy before the work is done. They are driven to get the job done right! more

We've been using Schoenfelder Painting for about three years. Recently they painted a portion of the ice rink at our community center, and the work turned out great! We continue to use them because they are attentive to our needs. If something changes or if we want something looked at, they address those questions and concerns. Schoenfelder Painting painted our deck that's part of our building. We had forty different areas for them to paint and they did a fabulous job. They're very courteous and cleaned up everything. They put a stain on our deck rails and finished the deck flooring. more

We have a 125,000 square foot warehouse. We were doing a complete exterior remodel and face-lift for it that involved painting about half of the building, as well as installing metal components. Schoenfelder Renovations painted in three different colors to match the metal being put on. This project had been in the works for a couple of years, coming in at about half a million dollars. Long story short, our company was sold to a larger company in the middle of the remodel. The project was put on hold. We solicited probably five of the area's larger painters and renovators, and Schoenfelder was the only one able to commit to getting it done on time. I was (and remain) incredibly impressed by Schoenfelder Renovations's ability to do what they did. The project is complete. more

I have used Schoenfelder Painting twice for paint jobs on the outside of my house. The people that did the work were very professional, extremely conscientious, polite, and timely. They were good and hardworking, too. They made sure everything was clear for me before they started, so that we all were on the same page. The jobs each took about three to four days. The communication with them prior to the work getting done was not as good the second time I hired them. I tried calling them to schedule someone to talk to me about the next job I needed done. They said they would get back to me, but I ended up having to call them to follow up. I think something got lost in the communication. I spoke to too many different people during that experience. Other than this, I was happy with the product and would use them again. more

It was done on very short notice, and the scope of it was increased at the last minute to cover some siding material for an important event we were going to have. Schoenfelder was able to move up the timetable in a very professional way, with a great finished result. There was no one else who could get it done, either. Shoenfelder Renovations repainted a ceiling in a customer of mine's bedroom. It went well. The gentleman who did the work showed up on time and was very professional. He took his shoes off and did all those good things. The setup was good and he got it done fair quickly. My customer is happy with it. He cleaned up everything. Schoenfelder Painting is very professional, very quick, and very skilled. This is a condominium property of 122 units and we've had them come for painting, staining, and caulking. Their performance is just excellent. I think the most important thing to emphasize is that they're extremely professional. We have been using their service for at least five or six years. Their proposed cost is always reasonable and, as I have said, they have very professional workers and very hard workers. They always look great; their appearance is good. They're very accommodating to all the residents here as well. I just cant say enough about them. more

Schoenfelder Painting redid our entire office, which is a fairly large office. They also did some offices, our hospitality level, and painted our club upstairs. They also redid a couple of suites for us. It's been a fair amount of work. The crew was really outstanding! They come in and it's done. The speed of the bids would be a 4 out of 5. I've already recommended them to a couple of people. I will certainly consider them again if I have a future project. Bid everything and use the one that's best. It's not worth $500 if you aren't sure about the other company! more

Schoenfelder Painting is the only one I would ever call for painting. I use them for a sorority house that has twenty bedrooms and then the main floor. They've done all the painting we've had done in the halls every year, routinely, for many years. They're very trustworthy, professional, and I like their work. They're gentlemen and they clean up after themselves. I can't see any negatives. more
