Amazing OB/GYN! 4/8/2012

I have had the most wonderful experiences at Grace Maternity! Dr. Schneider was extremely professional and thorough. A friend of mine at work recommended her since I was new to the Tucson area and was not completely satisfied with my annual checkups at my family doctor. Dr. Schneider caught an 8 cm fibroid tumor growing in my uterus that my other doctor did not find. She was amazing through the whole ordeal and did a phenomenal job during my surgery…she even did it on a Saturday to accommodate my schedule! She was able to save my uterus so my husband and I can still have children. I feel very fortunate to have crossed paths with Dr. Schneider and am extremely grateful to her every day! She is a terrific OB/GYN and the office staff has always been kind, professional and prompt. I HIGHLY recommend Grace Maternity and especially Dr. Schneider. more

Thanks 11/15/2011

I am a very happy mom. I have had three pregnancies and deliveries with Grace Maternity. My visits were on time and very infomative. The front office and back office were always friendly and helpful. They even played with my children when I was talking with the providers. Dr. Fewell and Robin Giles NP saw me mostly and I never had a problem. I enjoyed the bed side manners of both of these smart women. Good luck with your searching and do not hesitate - I have sent my sisters.\r more

Changed my life!! 11/15/2011

Dr. Fewell has been following me for the better part of four years. I have had multiple surgeries on my uterus due to endometriosis, multiple ovarian cysts, and 6 fibroids that were removed when I lived in a different city. I had a child in 2009 and was considererd high risk due to my age and 3 prior surgeries to my uterus. She followed me closely through my pregnancy and had me follow up with two speciaists to make sure there would be no difficulties prior to my c-section. Dr. Fewell has just recently performed a hysterectomy and her compassion and care demonstrated during the decision making process put me at ease. I HIGHLY reccommend Dr. Fewell. I work in health care in the ER and rarely see her patients come through our doors. Which leads me to believe she takes very good care of her patients. I know she is taking excellent care of me! more

great doctor 11/14/2011

Dr. Fewell delivered both my babies at North west womens center. She is so friendly and easy to talk to. I had complete trust in her abiltiy to take care of me during the most important times in my life. If I have a third child she will definately be my doctor! more

Great OB Doc's 11/14/2011

I just had my second child with the docs at Grace Maternity. Dr. Fewell delivered both, she is awesome! I loved the womens center at NWH, all private rooms and the nurses were great. I decided to have an epidural, but still had a great experience, the baby was placed in my arms just after delivery and my husband cut the cord. We had skin to skin bonding and help with nursing. I cant say enough great things about my experience. I met all the doctors and each one took the time to answer my questions and the staff always remembered my. I had some problems with some ""baby blues"" after delivery and Robin Giles, NP was fabulous, she really helped me through a difficult time. I would definately recommend this place above all others!!!! more

Love this place and doctors 11/14/2011

I love this office, as soon as you walk in the door you are greeted by nice warm faces, once you are called into the room the staff all say hi, nothing better than a smiling face. When your in the room, the doctor answers all questions, I see Dr. Schneider and she is the best. Always makes me feel great and comfortable. I recommend everyone to this office. There are always appointments for me if I have emergency, I for one would never go anywhere else!!!!!!! Go see the doctors at Grace, they are the best!!! more

Best Place EVER!!!!!!!! 11/12/2011

I have been a patient 7 years at Grace Maternity. Back in 2003 I found out I was pregnant with my secon child and from my previous child I had a very bad experience so I decided to look for a new place to get my check ups. I found Grace Maternity and I call to make my appointment. Ever since that first appointment I was very happy with Dr. Fewell, Robin Gayles and the staff. During all my pregancy as well the birth of my daughter was a great experince and I enjoyed every single moment because I was being treated very differently than with my first child at the Grace Maternity. After my second child I kept going back to Grace Maternity even to get my annual ckeck up, birth control and anyother service that I needed from them. Now I have four kids and the last two I didn more

Never Again... 9/25/2011

I was pregnant with my first child and opted to have a natural childbirth, barring any complications. I chose not to have an epidural or any other pain medications, and the birth of my son went smoothly. I felt great and thought the hardest part was over. Then I felt the worst pain of my life...the doctor had apparently decided that she didn't want to wait 10 to 15 minutes for the placenta to detach by itself. She had both hands inside me, tearing the placenta out. I had significant bruising on the outside of my vagina and anus, and tears both inside and outside of my vagina. I didn't tear on the most sensitive and delicate area (the perineum), but on the left side of my labia. (I still don't know how that is possible...all of my tears were on the outside of my body so there is no way that my child's birth was responsible for them.) Then the doctor put 4 stiches on the outside of my labia...with no pain medicine. So much for having a natural birth. I might as well have had a c-section because of the time its taken me to heal. Its been 2 weeks since my son's birth and I have had severe burning and itching the entire time since then. I called the triage nurse who scheduled me an appointment with another doctor at Grace Maternity. She rushed me through the appointment (I was there less than 20 minutes) and said I was fine. She stated that I just had several tears inside my vagina and a ""dog-eared tear"" on the left side of my labia where ""the stiches must have come out"". She suggested that I wait until I have another pregnancy and if I get an epidural next time to ask the doctor to fix the 'dog-eared tear' then. Seriously?? It never occurred to me when considering a birthplan that I would need to get in writing that the doctor would let the placenta naturally detach (by waiting a few minutes) instead of manually and forcibly ripping it out immediately following the birth of my son. I would NEVER recommend Grace Maternity to anyone and I would caution women to find a physician who genuinely cares about the health of the patient and of the infant under their care. I am going to share my experience with as many people as possible so that they don't have to go through the same physical and emotional pain that I did. I sincerely hope that the doctors at Grace Maternity and their families are shown the same care and consideration from their physicians that they show to their patients. more

Best Ever!!! 8/25/2011

So good you want them at your childs birth..... as a friend!! more

I fell in LOVE with this place!!!! 8/25/2011

I was a first time mom.... had miscarriages in the past and felt like there was no doctor in the world that would care about me enough to care if it happened again. Well, for the small amount of times I have been wrong ....this was one of them. ; )\r The only thing that I wish could have happened differently is the fact that A: I couldn't have Barbara Cooper deliver my baby, and B: These women haven't been there my whole life!!! It's great when you go to the doctors for the most important (prenatal care) and get the BEST no matter what. I still go just to visit. Thanks go out to all of you..... Barbara Cooper, you will forever have a place in my heart <@, Lori Hudson, for being that person who let me see my daughter for the very first time and checking on me after she was born : ), Dr. Montemayor who answered the very important questions I had, Dr. Schneider... so very likeable and funny. Dr. Fewell for performing the craziest (and only) delivery of my life!!! \r I hope none of you ladies ever go without the appreciation that you very well deserve. \r more

Horrible Prenatal Care! 1/19/2011

This clinic is the worst. I went there for prenatal care and had a horrible experience. The medical staff is incompetent, disorganized, rush you through appointments and are never on time. I waited over 30 minutes to an hour for EVERY appointment!!! They actually “forgot” to give me my glucose test and told me to come back in 3 weeks! That was the final straw and I ended up switching practices. My new doctor gave me the test immediately and I ended up being diagnosed with gestational diabetes. Had I stayed at Grace I would have gone untreated for 3 extra weeks! In addition, my NP never had my chart in front of her and everything I would ask she would say “I don’t know, I have to check your chart.” Isn’t that something you should do BEFORE and DURING a patient visit? Shouldn’t you provide your patient with information on how they are doing? The medical assistants are also unfriendly, don’t know what they are doing either and can’t answer simple questions…they would actually asked me why I was there before appointments. Um, I don’t know – I’m pregnant! Duh, check my chart! Do not go here if you want attentive, thorough quality prenatal care. If you need a practice that accepts the same insurance as Grace I highly recommend Generations Women’s Healthcare. It is SO much better and the doctors and staff there are incredible. The doctors all have dedicated medical assistants who get to know you and respond quickly to any questions or concerns you may have. It is like night and day. Their offices are also new and modern unlike Grace’s dumpy lobby and exam rooms. You will be in excellent hands there. Avoid Grace Maternity at all costs!!! It is not worth the stress, aggravation and overall shoddy healthcare. Trust me! more
