Schlitterbahn Waterpark Resort

We stayed in the resorting the original side & our room was next to the train & when I mean train I mean maybe 50 yards from it. None of us slept about the time u get back to sleep was when the whistle would blow. The crossing must have been right behind our beds. I love all the perks u get by staying at the resort. Next time we reserve we will get confirmation of our room number to make sure it's not next to the train. It was terrible more

Schlitterban is a huge water park. It is a perfect place to be during with the Texas heat. It was rated as one of the best water parks! The downside, it can get crowded. The admission price is what you would expect at a theme park. However, there are always buy-one-get-one-free or dollar off coupons. more

Schlitterbahn is a fabulous place to play. We purchase season tickets which are accepted at the S. Padre Island location as well and then we can go early or go late and avoid the crowds. My favorite part is that they allow you to take a cooler. You can pack lunch, drinks etc. and save tons of money. Believe me, the kids get very hungry after a few hours of fun in the water and bringing in your own treats is a true savings. If you go, avoid busy holiday weekends and check their schedule for open dates, they may be open earlier or later in the year that you thought. Check out the website, it's very helpful also. more

I was excited when we moved to San Antonio because I had heard about Schlitterbahn on the Trvael Channel. It was rated one of the best waterparks in the country. The downside is it is VERY expensive, so it's one of those once a summer trips. It's a HUGE place with everything for all ages, but I didn't like the lines. more

Schlitterbahn Water park is a wonderful place to take the kids for a day of fun. They have tons of water slides and they even have river floats to relax on. This is one of the best parks I have ever been to and I think well worth the price if you plan on staying the entire day. more

Schlitterbahn is my favorite Water Park and if I could afford it I'd be there everyday! I just like to putt around in the water, go down the tubes and water slides. The best part is you can bring your own food and drinks in the park and set it at your own picnic table (and that saves a bunch of money). The lazy river is my favorite! The water is nice and cool, clean and the staff is friendly and safety minded. There is ALOT of walking involved (there's 2 sides to the park) unless you wait forever for a train to take you back and forth. The tickets are around $40 for an adult but we always find 2 for 1 tickets or $10 off so it makes it affordable. If you've never been, you'll enjoy it if you love the water. The gift shop has everything from swimsuits - Giant Lollypops! Expensive though. more

Some girlfriends and I just had a girls weekend here for a 40th birthday party. Let me tell you it was a blast. I have been to the park over a dozen times and over the years have seen it expand into two huge parks. Even though it is so much fun it does get crowded the Masterblaster was a 2 1/2 hours wait! This was fine without the kids but with kids it would have been miserable. After 3:00 the rides got a little less busy but by then we were all too tired to take advantage. We decided next time with kids we would do the mid day pass where you can go in after 3:00 for half the price. Over all fun, but very crowded, not too cheap (beer is about $2 and other drinks like margaritas $4). And parking and getting in can be an adventure in itself. more

You will be amazed by how big this waterpark is. This place is so fun. It is perfect for families that want to spend some time together. You can find some coupons at fast food restaurants or on soda cans to make this place even better. This is the best waterpark that anyone can go to! more

Schlitterbahn Waterpark is one of the highest rated waterparks in the nation and it is just a short drive from Austin or San Antonio. I have to say that this is the best waterpark that I have ever been to. They have tons of waterslides and miles of rivers to float on, and of course there is a place for the little ones to play. This is a great place to come cool off on a hot summer day. more

Ok, Since moving to Texas all I heard about was Schlitterbahn so I had to take my family there to test it out. I didn't believe people when they said it could be as big as it was. Boy was I wrong! This waterpark is HUGE! I love that there is something for everyone at the park. They have water rides for adults, teens, kids, toddler, and infants. I went with my husband, 5 yr old, 2 1/2 yr old, and 12 month old. They all had a blast. It was hard to tear them away at park closing! This park is made for people of all ages! You will not be disappointed! more
