Be very careful when going to this dealership. I had my minivan service here with transmission problems. I took it here because I thought I could trust them to not rake me through the coals, but they did. They told me I had to replace my entire transmission and come to find out all they had to replace was the torch converter. I found out by Ford throwing out a recall on my exact problem. When I turned in for the refund on the recall, Ford would only give a refund for the actual problem, not the extra work Scarritt did beyond what was needed. I was out $2200 of extra cost that Scarritt over serviced me for. In talking with the Service manager and the Owner Frank Scarritt, they threw there hands up and were not willing to own up to what they did. Ford specifically told me and them that the Torch converter was the only problem and still no care at all from Scarritt. It also took me over a month to get any response from Frank Scarritt. Rude and dishonest. I wish I could give less than one star. I was most disappointed in the behavior of one of their sales representatives this morning. I had an appointment to meet with George Artzer at 11:45 am today and I was there exactly on time. Since I had to drive an for over an hour to get to the dealership, I previously asked him if he could give me a report on the car condition, specifically and dings or problems with the paint. He told me that he went out to look at the car, and there was nothing negative about the vehicle. When I arrived and looked at the car, the hood had a definite paint issue. And the top was badly stained in at least 4 areas. The stain on the top could be seen from 20 feet away. The vehicle was misrepresented. Mr. Artzer did not even have the courtesy to meet me face to face. He sent a representative out to talk to me. I waited for over a half an hour, and he never did come out. At one point, I was told that the price could be discounted about $90.00 ( It was a used car listed at $12,999.00 ). I suggested to the reresentative that I would make an offer based on the condition of the car, and the representative said ""Sorry we could not help you today"". Needless to say, I will not be returning to Scarritt. more

Very Nice Overpriced Cars and Friendly Staff But Only Serves the Very Rich and Not the Working Man 1/3/2009

We stopped into Scarritt Lincoln Mercury in Seminole FL. right next to the Mister Donut Store on Park Blvd. We live in a 55 and older community right around the corner. We are in the market for another car and Scaritt Lincoln Mercury was very convenient for us. I am writing this because I feel this should be told to everyone and not all people are treated equal. A Sales Rep. greeted us enthusiastically and was warm and friendly. She gave the wife and I a test drive in a Towncar that I was very interested in and wanted to buy. After the test drive she invited us inside for coffee and to sit at her desk. Said will work out all of the details and will have our trade-in appraised. But she never came back to us. Left us sitting there like two lost nuts. Finally another gentleman came by and took our credit information and said we will contact you first thing Monday. I stopped in two days later on Wednesday and asked why I was never contacted about a Towncar I wanted to buy. This gentleman apologized to me and said the first Sales Rep we talked to will call us this afternoon. I was never called once again. All of this transpired just over a week ago. We never heard a word. Now I admit my credit isn't the best around and I am not fortunate enough to have thousands of dollars in my pocket but a simple phone call would of been nice instead treated like lepers. Pehaps you will have better luck than us but we will never come back. Good-Luck! Pros: Nice Cars and not too Badly Over Priced Cons: Only Serves the Rich and not the Working Man more
