The Scene Scarpas is best known for its gourmet pizza. These ten-inch meals on a crust are fired in a brick oven with mozzarella and fontina cheeses and an enormous selection of toppings. This dimly-lit brick restaurant excels at more than pizza, however, with equally good house pasta of the bowtie variety. The Food The Thai Chicken pizza includes shitake mushrooms and caramelized onions. The Four Seasons features quartered sections of artichoke hearts, pancetta bacon, smoked Alaskan salmon, and goat cheese. No telling which one represents autumn or spring, only that each season is more delicious than the last. If you're in the mood for pasta try it with scampi, basil, and capers in light garlic butter. The house salad is a crisp mix of greens, croutons, tomatoes, and asiago cheese. Dish to Die For Many consider the New Orleans pasta with sausage and chicken to be Scarpas' biggest and best meal.
