My daughter and granddaughter were harassed by the head tennis pro, Steve Owens, while taking lessons. The GM, Kevin Kane, tried to cover it up with slander.There was an attempted kidnapping last week and NO SECURITY CAMERAS! This club is not family friendly. Keep your kids safe and go to Chestnut Ridge for lessons and camp. more

A child was almost kidnapped at this club last week. The GM Kevin Kane doesn't want to spend the money on security cameras. GOOD FRIENDS OF SHEELAH AND STEVE OWENS, HEAD TENNIS PRO AT THIS CLUB...MY GIRLFRIEND WAS HARASSED BY THESE PEOPLE AND WAS A VICTIM OF ID THEFT SHORTLY AFTER LEAVING THIS SLEEZY CLUB. BEWARE!! A disbarred attorney and a former New York City Police Detective, Mr. DeGrasse is charged with second-degree grand larceny, criminal possession of stolen property, first-degree identity theft, third-degree grand larceny, second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, third-degree criminal possession of stolen property, first-degree falsifying business records and first-degree scheme to defraud. Mr. DeGrasse was indicted five years ago in Suffolk County, along with five other suspects, for allegedly stealing from illegitimate mortgages, devising phony real estate deals and conning lender banks into issuing loans. On fisrt meeting the membership director I expressed shock at the monthly cost, he said ""We can charge what we like round here!"" That should have been enough of a warning! Unfortunately customer service did not match the exhorbitant fees. Snooty reception staff who barely acknowledge you, disinterested tennis director if you're not already a competitve player. Totally incompetent membership staff who cannot handlly complaints about accounts. An overall attitude of complete snobbery from other members who in no way extended friendship. As a newcomer from England I thought I'd met all the snobs back home but this place beats everthing I've come across before. No longer a member thank god! more

I club is not fun for me anymore. i work here because my friend kevin kane is the gm and i have a sexual harrasment claim against me that he continues to cover up. when i tried playing games with a innocent person in the community thats where all of my trouble started, but actually I have some big thing coming that I hope the club will be able to handle. more

I can-celled my membership with The Sawmill Club one month ago because the club was expensive, I am in college, and I couldn't continue to pay for something that I wasn't taking part in. I sent them an e-mail, I even spoke to someone and they said that everything was cleared and i'm no longer a member, the person then sent me an e-mail telling me basically the same thing.\r One month later which is now, money was taken from my account from the Club. Not only did they steal my money because I am no longer a member but the also took $72.00 over. I'm struggling with school, work, and paying my bills I really can't afford having my money taken. They did this once before I can-celled my membership. Even though I payed my bill early, they still went into my account and took out money weeks before the time, and it took them 2weeks before my money was returned to my account. \r When I called the club about them taking out money again they were more concerned about how I found out, they never realized that it was my checking account i gave them , they thought it was my credit card. I couldn't be comfortable going back to a gym as distrustful as that one. more

Huge fitness center and tennis, tennis, tennis! We are big fans of SMC! Cousin's daughter goes to preschool and loves it! Club staff - friendly and helpful and that is a huge plus! We're going on our 9 year as members - wouldn't go anywhere else! Check it out!! more

as an older jewish man I seen a lot in my day and I am a member of this club and there is a definite difference in the way that Jews and christians are treated and it makes my sick to think about it. I have seen plenty of reviews good and bad about this club and I wanted to voice my opinion is all. Look I am attorney and when I see something out of wack, I call it like it is. that is my 2 cents ! i never seen a place like this b4. my girlfriend and i stopped by the place and check out the new restaurant and we were shocked at the nastyness of the clubs employees. my girlfriend wears a cross around her neck on a chain and one of the women looked at her and make a weird face. very strange @ this place more

This lady at the front counter, She made me feel very bad because I didnt have change of a dollar and I was trying to buy my son some candy from the machine and She said that She was not in the business of giving everybody change ! We wont be back ! more

I WENT HERE FOR A TENNIS TOURNAMENT FOR MY NEPHEW AND THE EMPLOYEES WERE LAUGHING AT ME BECAUSE I AM A HEAVY GUY. I FELT TERRIBLE BECAUSE A KID CAME UP AND ASKED ME IF I ATE LUNCH YET. I WOULD NOT COME BACK HERE, TO BE HONEST WITH YOU. more

I went here as a guest because my friend needed an extra guy for basketball on tuesday nights and there are absolutely NO AFRICAN AMERICANS HERE and it upsets me. This is not right in our society today, we all shoudl be treated as equals and my freind says they dont like blacks at this club, I am just at a loss for words ! more

Tried it and didnt like it due to poor customer service,overcharging on my bill and the management staff refused to do anything about it. When signing up they where make gay jokes on a employee who later quit.There is a very bad employee relationship going on with the GM who seems to know very little and his employees. This club truly has something for everyone. Extended family introduced us to the club five years ago. The tennis is phenomenal and the instructors are superb! more

This club engages in consumer fraud. The general manager and head tennis pro harass members who they take a personal disliking to AFTER they have spent thousands of dollars in membership dues and club fees. Be aware and be careful if you are thinking about joining the Saw Mill Club. This is not a family oriented club. Case in point, there is a sexual harassment charge against a young man in the membership department. If you are looking for an extra marital affair, this is the club for you. \r more
