Thank goodness they have online service 6/20/2006

I don't live in Denver anymore and one of things I miss most is this great store. Great service, an incredible array of spices and tools, and it just smells GREAT. Now that BBQ season is in full swing, I have made more than one on-line visit to add to my spice collection. They offer discounts for personal chefs too! more

Savory Spice Shop 5/23/2006

Savory Spicy Shop truly is the best spice shop I've seen. I first found it by following my nose half way down the block to the sweet scents of anise and cardamon. Their located by the REI Flagship store down on the Platte. What's best is that you can buy smaller amounts of spices allowing you to try out any thing you want--use a different type of salt every month! Like stepping back in time! 1/30/2006

The smells alone will entice you to enter this charming shop. Once you do, you will find floor-to ceiling shelves stocked with every spice imaginable (and then some!) along with a friendly and knowledgeable sales staff. Buy a little or a lot--you don't have to buy a whole tub of something just for one recipe. Everything is measured and packaged while you wait. Even if you don't cook yourself, it's a great place to find unique gifts for those who do! They also have periodic tastings--check out their web site for scheduling. more
