This place is a must if you love martinis. Even if you don't like martinis, enjoy the wonderful food and the friendly service orchestrated by the beautiful owner, Sharon McGill. The specials each week are almost always tantalizing, and the everyday Italian dishes are simply delicious. Try the New York strip steak, my personal favourite. Hey, I'll see you at Sausalito. Pros: Ambience, service, summer patio Cons: There are too many attractive people both inside and outside of the restaurant. It's quite distracting, really. more

Great neighborhood restaurant 12/22/2005

I stopped by here this week and found a very pleasant spot for meeting friends and eating great food. The service was very pleasant and prompt; the meals were all wonderful. The lamb shank was so tender and mashed potatoes accompanying it were also good. The penne with meat sauce was also delicious. Portions were large and prices reasonable. It was a nice quiet place on a week night. Try it out!!! Pros: Reasonable prices Cons: On street parking more

Friendly Neiborhood Restaurant 12/22/2004

I happened to stop by Sausalito the other night with a friend. I live in the area and have seen places come and go from this spot but this time they got it right. At Sausalito the decor is new and fresh in a warm gold with contemporary art printsbut thier biggest sellar is their friendly staff. You really feel welcome at this new restaurant. I even met the new owners because they came to my table and asked how things were going! The food is absoulutly delicious. I recommend Sausalito as my new neighborhood stop. Pros: Food, Staff, great value more
