STAY AWAY FROM HYUNDAI OF GRAND LEDGE!!! 1/27/2011

Now currently Hyundai of Grand Ledge:\r \r I took my Saturn here because they used to be a Saturn Dealership and figured there would still be some technicians there that knew how to work on Saturn vehicles. \r \r I was having engine troubles. They told me to have a seat and would let me know in 30 minutes what is wrong with my car. An hour and a half later, they still had no idea what was wrong with my car. They put me in a rental and said they would call me in the morning and let me know what they found. They never called. After that friday, and through the weekend, I called them Monday morning and asked them what was going on. They still didn't know what was wrong with my vehicle. They did however tell me that they ran a number of ""tests"" and that my thermostat was bad. My cooling system in my car was running perfectly. I never had an issue with it. They also told me that I needed to replace the serpentine belt and water pump because my car had over 80,000 miles on it. I wasn't having problems with those either. I asked Robyn if that would fix my problem and she said ""no"", but I should really get it done. I told her that I wasn't going to have any of that done and that had nothing to do with why my car was in there in the first place.\r \r So 3 more days later, they finally told me that my engine was bad and that i needed to put a new one in. It would ONLY cost me around $4,000. \r \r I asked if they could just rebuild the motor and Robyn told me that it wasn't recommended because if you fix portions it would be more likely to lead to other problems within the motor and that I just needed to purchase a new motor.\r \r I took the car down the street and they knew within 4 hours of having the vehicle. I asked Hyundai to fax over all the paperwork to H&H so they could see what tests they ran and the results to further assist them. It took Hyundai almost 3 hours to get the paperwork to them. The motor did have a minor issue and is now fixed FOR LESS THAN HALF THE COST OF WHAT THE HYUNDAI DEALERSHIP quoted me.\r \r These people are scam artists! Don't ever go there for any reason or you will pay dearly for it. Do yourself a favor and drive less than 2 miles further east to H&H Automotive where actual technicians work and honest service is priority!\r \r For as long as I live I will tell people not to go to Hyundai of Grand Ledge! more

Hyundai car drivers, be careful! 2/1/2010

Hyundai of Lansing moved to Saturn of Grand Ledge about a month ago. I drove from Lansing to Grand Ledge because my Hyundai-make car had a problem and it was still under warranty. I acknowledge that the staff was kind and friendly. But, you don't want to pay for it. They charged $67.39 for wheel balancing. It is way too much compared to the prices from other shops ($40 or so). Also, they recommended a wheel alignment service that ,they said, would not even fix the noise problem that I stated (which would cost $105.7 more-again it is more expensive than other shops). I had an impression that they recommended an unnecessary service, so I declined it. After my first visit to Saturn of Grand Ledge today, I decided not to go there again unless I need to use my warranty. I would surely not recommend that you go there and spend extra money for the service. Pros: Friendly staff Cons: Expensive service more
