Sasson Alan DDS

I was a long standing patient of Dr. Sasson's. His front desk staff, Marcie in particular is very helpful. However, whenever I went to see him, he tried to convince me to do dentistry I felt I did not need, like a money hungry salesman! He bickers with his assistant, Amanda and she always seems unhappy when I see her. I wish he would be honest with me and maybe I wouldn't need to change dentists!! more

I have been going to Dr. Sasson for about 4 months and have been in his office a lot in that short time for various procedures from bonding to fillings to cleaning. The staff is super nice and attentive. The front reception is very helpful. Dr. Sasson and his assistant always provide me with a great experience which is a tough thing to say when it comes to dentistry with it's drilling, scraping, filing, etc. My teeth are healthy and oooooh so pretty!!! more

When you are at Dr. Sasson's office you feel very special, he dedicates all his attention to you and never rushes you out of the office like most doctors do. The staff is always very friendly and you have the feeling of true team work. He helped me to regain confidence in my smile after many years of neglect. I highly recommend Dr. Sasson. more

Dr. Sasson and his staff are the best: I've been seeing Dr. Sasson for about 20 years. I was referred by a coworker and he has helped me keep my teeth and guns in good condition. His staff is an extension of him and it makes what has the potential to be an unpleasant experience quite pleasant. They even care for you outside of dentistry. The small office and closeness is what I sometimes miss in a working environment and it's nice to see this still exists. more

While the procedure was done in an excellent manner, Dr. Sasson touched me inappropriately during it, and the female nurse looked the other way to allow it! Which age are they from? This should NOT be allowed ANYWHERE! He touched my breast and turned my jaw toward him twice in a sexual manner, which made me want to stop him right there while my teeth were being filled with noisy machines. It was incredibly uncomfortable because I was in a vulnerable situation where he had dangerous tools in his hand to do whatever he wants to my teeth; in other words, I was worried about an immediate retaliation. Otherwise, I would have screamed and gotten up. Simply put, I will NEVER go back there again, for this reason, and would like to warn anyone reading this. Dr. Sasson's office is convenient, there's parking in back, it's in Coolidge Corner so you can run errands. He and the hygienist Joe are really nice. Joe speaks english, he grew up here. The receptionists are nice, they remember you and details about you. Maybe they write your hobbies in your chart and do a refresher before they call or you come in, but it sounds nice. Pros: Great Hygenist, Parking, Location, Comfortable Atmosphere Cons: Receptionists can be persistent about rescheduling after missed appts more

Rusty equipment (lamps, chair etc), assistant could not speak English and fell asleep on her chair several times during the procedure, while holding the vacuum in my mouth. I had had a diagnostic visit with another dentist before going to Sasson and I only needed a surface filling. I went to Sasson for the laser, and he insisted I get a crown and destroyed my tooth, by drilling it much more than was necessary. I went elsewhere after the first visit. He's OUT FOR MONEY and his laser machine works only for very minor stuff. Not a real professional. Several dentists advised me never to return there; poor credentials.
