There are two main reasons I enjoy eating at Sardinia....the food is always good (OK, maybe not fantastic, but better than average) and because of the location, there seems to be few or no tourists....hard to say this about so many of the other restaurants in this general area. I prefer a late lunch on Sunday afternoon....not too crowded and a pleasant vista looking west across the water.\r \r The service staff is always attentive and ready to make your visit pleasant and satisfying. more

Amazing salt crusted bass, the best buffolo morzarella ever and great atmosphere. I am tempted to go back tonight.... more

Had the lobster spegetti special, and oh my! Delish! Sweet lobster and an amazing sauce! A must go to for dinner! more

I am Italian and love Italian food.\r This restaurant is a classical example of how the Italian food can be manipulated abroad: try the "spaghetti con la bottarga", traditional recipe from Sardegna, and you will not be able to taste the bottarga (fish eggs) due to the quantity of unnecessary ingredients they have decided to add, without request.\r If you consider also that the prices are quitey high, I will look for another, possible authentic, Italian for my next dinner! more

A great respite from the chaos of tourists 4/30/2010

I've been to Sardinia twice (once inside, once outside). Both were pleasant experiences, but inside is a touch more... ""formal"", for lack of a better word. I live in the tourist area, so this is a nice break from that. Pros: good food and wine nice decor Cons: none in particular more

not good 9/22/2008

Five friends and I went to Sardinia because we have read great reviews about the place. Only one person in our group was happy with what she ordered. I had the pasta with lamb ragu. The sauce was bitter and completely overpowered any flavor from the lamb. I also tried the veal meatball appetizer. It had no flavor. A friend ordered the oxtail and rissotto. The meat was flavorful but the rissotto didn't taste like much. The desserts were excellent, but I was expecting more than that. The coffee was so bad, all three cups were sent back.\r \r Also, the service is not that great either. Our waitress was very helpful explaining the specials and other dishes. Took our order. We didn't see her again. Different people brought our food and we had to ask someone to find her so we could get our check. Pros: Ambience Cons: Food! more

Beyond the typical Italian- New York style dishes 2/17/2008

I have dined here over 20 times (mostly lunch and only once for dinner). The waitstaff is extremely friendly, most from Italy and they can describe the dishes to you in detail. Try the unique Sardinian dishes like with mint veal ragu. My favorite is the vegtable/meat/cheese dish where you get to pick 3 of each and it is enough for two people Pros: for lunch reasonable price, pasta entrees $12.00, plenty of metered parking at lot across the street. more

Just not a great restaurant 6/11/2007

I have dined at Sardinia twice to make sure that my first visit wasn't just the place having an off night. I can now state that the place is below average based on two visits. The food and wine are very expensive for what you actually get. The service is quite inattentative and the slow kitchen produces some of the MOST UN-INSPIRED food I have ever consumed. They also have a NO CORKAGE policy which really irritates me, as most any restaurant will allow you to bring your own fine wines for a fee. I have honestly had better at Olive Garden and they are one of my least favorite places to eat! Pros: ample parking in city lot across street-- Tredny crowd on weekends Cons: Food is sub standard service below average more
