I actually budget $350 a month to eat at Sapporo East. The food is great. The sushi can't be topped by any restaurant anywhere close by. They have Americanized some of the rolls but they still have a large assortment of traditional items like the Chirashi Bowl. Hands down the best for hours in any direction. more

Good food and nice atmosphere. 11/10/2005

I am not a very adventurous diner I suppose and have not sampled the sushi although I heard it is very good. I stuck with the traditional cooked food and opted for the teriyaki which was quite tasty. I did not care for the dressing on the salad though. I have been at other Japanese restaurants though and it must be the traditional Japanese dressing. Nice atmosphere with dim lighting to accentuate the mood. more

Great Sushi! 8/26/2005

Sapporo has a great atmosphere. If you're going to eat there I would recommend going a little earlier as it gets a little busy and packed although they have recently remodeled to make some more room and I haven't been there since. My husband loves sushi and this is the only place around that he'll go. They have a great assortment of different rolls to choose from and everything is always fresh. The guys that roll the sushi are always a hoot to talk to if you have the chance to sit at the sushi bar. My favorite is the steak teriyaki. A great place on the west shore to get take-out for dinner if you're just not in the mood to cook! BYOB more
