Do yourself a favor and find another real estate agent. I recently contacted Mr. Santoro regarding several rental properties that were of interest to me. His website berates you with a flashing garish message stating that only those properties listed in red text are available. I inquired about 3 ""available"" properties and was promptly told that they really weren't available because he was ""waiting on a check"". Several days later I called back and was given the same story.\r \r Apparently Mr. Santoro has a problem with mail service since it takes him so long to receive these checks. He really should contact his local postmaster. Here it is a week later and the same properties are still listed as available. What purpose these bogus listings serve is beyond me, as he didn't even try to direct me to any of his other properties (assuming that he actually has any available properties).\r \r Don't waste your time. more

Words just can't express the appreciation I feel for all you've done to make this dream a reality. It certainly was quite frustrating now and then - but it happened! I'm so happy it did and thanks for always keeping us in the loops, and for being on top of everything. It seemed rough at one point, but we got through it and I am so happy!!! more

Lou really knows his business. He found us the best tenants you could ask for for our Cape Elizabeth house. They always paid their rent on time and kept the place immaculate. Lou took care of all the advertising, credit checks and screening. Highly recommended. Pros: very thorough, hard worker, knows business inside and out more

I have just relocated to the Portland and Santoro Real Estate took all the stress out of finding me a great house. He had amazing properties on his website... which was very easy to navigate. Although Lou seemed quite busy in the summer season we are in, I found he was 'right on top of things"" and was very prompt in answering all my phone calls immediately. He took a lot of the stress out of moving to a new city. I found his website extremely user friendly. He answered all my phone calls in a very timely fashion. His follow-up on details was excellent and walked me through the whole process of acquiring a property. He was professional and personable and I highly recommend him. Have tried to work with this realtor twice. Never listened to my messages. Was very rude on the phone. Hung up on me after asking me to repeat everything I left on a message because he didn't bother to listen to it. And he never answers his phone. I have experienced this on TWO separate occasions from Lou. I gave him the benefit of the doubt the first time, but when the same thing occurred a few months later, I got the picture. I guess he has so much business that he doesn't need people like me! Pros: Um... He calls back, but has no idea who he is calling. Cons: Arrogant. Doesn't listen to messages. Doesn't answer his phone. more
