Mrs Clause -- meanie, meanie 12/15/2013

My granddaughter has loved Santa's Village since she was a toddler. She looks forward to the visit every year. Mrs Clause was always her second favorite house to visit. Last night she was accompanied by her mother. Mrs Clause told her she was too old for a cookie. She is barely eleven years old. You are a mean one, Mrs Clause. It is ok though, because granddaughter said she was a fake, not the real Mrs Clause. more

Mrs. Claus is Mean 12/10/2010

I have been coming to Santa's Village for 15 years and it is a beautiful family tradition that I have been doing with my children since they were little. Now they are ages 17 & 11 and we went last night 12/9 and the first house we went in was Mrs. Claus bakery. We walked in smiled and said Merry Christmas and as my children held thier hand out for a cookie, they were greeted by a scowling unfriendly old woman in a rocking chair who looked up at us and said, "take one and don't come back"! I said excuse me? and she said, you heard me - don't come back! We were all in shock and we had just arrived there and it was the first house we went into to! The village says it welcomes visitors of all ages but it is clear that she hates teenagers. After we exited the little house, my 11 year old daughter started crying and said that no one has the Chrstmas spirit anymore and that she wanted to leave and not go back to this place anymore. My 17 year old son was trying to console her but said he felt very sad too because this wonderful childhood memory was just crushed by a spiteful mean spirited person who was supposed to portray the loving motherly Mrs. Claus. I am dismayed, hurt and appauled that they allow such a sour puss to work in thier village. To the mean old woman handing out cookies in the little pink bakery house: you crushed years of happy memories for my children and ruined the begining of our Christmas season! more

Santa's village 3/29/2006

My granddaughters love going there each year. It is free and a nice outing for the family during the holidays. Lots of twinkle light, Santa himself, and lots of activities such as face painting for the kids. Usually rather crowded but puts you in the holiday spirit. A must for the holidays. more

Santa's Village is Absolutely Wonderful! 12/12/2005

This is an event that is put on by the City of Richardson and is truly an experience to remember. First of all it is all FREE!!! No Admission charges or picture charges. It is fun for everyone both young or old. It is completely decorated in beautiful Holiday decor and lights and the little "dwellings" are just adorable. Children get to watch Santa arrive VIA firetruck and then they get to take a picture with Santa for free. At each little house there is a special thing for you or your child to participate in including a visit to the Ornament Factory to get a special ornament, Mrs. Claus' Bakery for a cookie etc. All the while there is Christmas music playing and performances going on stage. It is so much fun that we plan on visiting several times this year and every year. Santa's village open from 6-9 pm on Dec.8th -11th Dec.15th-18th more
