Sandy Ground Historical Society is a museum/library that is centered around the history and culture of african americans that were freed during slavery and later settled in Staten Island before the Civil War. The musuem has a lot of history and offers a lot of unknown history tidbits. It is very interesting and has a lot of different exhibits.
