I used to go to Sanctuary quite a bit when it was new on the scene and it was quite the place to be. However, now it is too over-hyped and the clientele are all a bunch of drunk hooligans!
You can't even move in the place on Friday nights--- let alone dance on the overcrowded floor downstairs without being groped by strangers.
The decor upstairs is very tranquil with oversized booths and blue lighting. The Buddah's are a nice touch as well. However, the decor downstairs leaves much to be desired. It is tiny and the red lighting does nothing for the sense of claustrophobia.
On the positive side; bartenders and staff are always polite and quick to refill your drink orders.
My friends still like this place- they claim to meet boys here that they enjoy dating. However they are all still single and searching for Mr. Right Now--- so I guess the relationships they have found here have been fleeting at best :)
