Proceed benefit the Lions club. Enjoy a lazy afternoon on the San Marcos spring fed river. Take a ride down the dam but hold on to your bathing suit and your shoes. Tubes are only $6, covered bottom ones are $8 including unlimited ride back up to the beginning of the river. more

Lions Tube Rental @ San Marcos River 8/7/2005

Behind the Strahan Basketball stadium lies a great jewel of San Marcos Texas, the Lions tube rental. On a hot and humid summer day you are able to rent a tune and float down the pristine San Marcos River. Single tubes rent for $6 plus $15 deposit or you may bring your own tube and pay only $2 taxi fee for a ride back to the top of the river. The staff at Lions club tube rental are very friendly despite the fact that they have to work, while the rest of us float lazily down the San Marcos River. more
