Sam's Club

I have been a SAMs member for years and customer service has drastically deteriorated at this location during the last six months. I'm considering switching to Costco - employees act like they don't care and the supervisors (if you can find one) are as bad or worse and don't even think about getting help loading your purcahses! Last three times I couldn't get help loading a fifty pound bag of dog food - I had to rely on help from a good samaritan. I have had pleasant experience in the pharmacy (accolades to these folks) but couldn't get anyone in optical to even answer the phone during my three attempts. (Needless to say I got my exam/glasses elsewhere.) more

I have found Employees don't know who any of the Managers are on the weekend and others can not contact the Store Manager on weekdays. I'm a club member with conserns and have tried to contact a Manager 3 times now no luck! more

Huntsville is fortunate to have two Sam's Clubs in the area, and I am fortunate that one of them is fairly close to me. Both stores are large and are membership only. Membership is $40 per year, and you are allowed two cards (they used to call it a spouse card, now I think they call it a family member card). My mom and I usually split the membership and each have a card. It is really great for prescriptions if your co-pay is based on the price of the medication, as you really benefit from the wholesale pricing. Even for a family of two, there are still plenty of great deals to stock up on at Sam's. I really like the meat, milk, and eggs prices! They also have great pricing on electronics and clothing. I think you can get a trial membership or go with a friend to check it out. Sam's is owned by Walmart, so you will find a lot of the same products/brands. more
