My husband and I have had breakfast/brunch here a number of times, and it's always been top notch. Great food! Can't wait to check out lunch and dinner here. I've heard first-hand rave reviews of the shrimp & grits! If you go, try the Brie & BLT sandwich. Delicious, and the fries are perfect. more

Our first trip to Sammy's last night was awesome! The shrimp and grits were the best we ever had and although they were an appetizer, they could easily be a meal with a salad on the side. The sweet potato fries are a MUST try! The blue cheese dressing they are served with is a wonderfully unexpected accompaniment! The Mac-n-cheese was like none we've ever had. Such a wonderful twist on traditional dishes! Sammy is a very creative chef who actually came out and talked with us about the ingredients in the dishes! He also got us the last piece of German chocolate cake that was to die for! We can't wait to try more! more

My wife and I visited Sammy's New South Kitchen last night and we both loved it. Woodstock has needed a restaurant with a unique personality for a while. Sammy’s has some traditional southern favorites with a slight twist. The menu was wonderfully worded and left us wanting one of everything. Sides that complimented the entrée accompanied each of the entrees. I don’t know how many times I’ve had to settle for a side dish because nothing on the “ list “ matched the entrees. We had an appetizer of shrimp and grits. We always like shrimp and grits but these were really unique. There was a sherry sauce that added a wonderful slightly sweet undertone to the dish. The grits had a great texture and the shrimp, sausage and peppers were cooked to perfection. My wife had the Country Fried Steak, which she never orders. My wife ordered the Country Fried Steak because she was intrigued by the andouille sausage gravy that was being used for the dish. It was great. The mixed vegetables were cooked to just the right crispness. I had the catfish. The fish was light and flavorful. The coating was not at all greasy which is a common problem with catfish. The hushpuppies were the best that I have ever had. They were light and flavorful. They had a hint of cheese flavor, but were not cheesy. The service was quick and efficient, but somewhat over attentive. We are excited and look forward to trying everything on the menu. more

Had lunch with my wife there our first time. Had the meatloaf/Mac &Cheese and green beans meal was excellent. Beans were cooked just right and very good. Meatloaf was great. MY Wife had the Baby Spinach Salad and she enjoyed it immensely. A very good expereince wish the team at Sammy's well and hope thigns go well for you. Will be back for another visit will have to try Sunday Brunch soon. Looking forward to it. more

We went for brunch and I had the loaded french toast..fried bananas, nuts, sauce, huge, amazing! My husband had the chef omelet, and it was stuffed and fresh..loved the goat cheese. The decor was simple. The staff was friendly. We brought our 4 month old baby and they were accomodating. Please go, tell your friends and family...they are affordable and good and this economy thats what we need..and I want them to prosper! more

You MUST try Sammy's restaurant as soon as possible, I have already discovered two favorites, the meatloaf is to die for and portion size was great, I had leftovers the next day and believe it or not it was even better. also LOVED!!! Monte Cristo for brunch, it is awesome,!!!! and oh yes the coffee is always fresh. Service is great, Owners children and wife present at times makes it feel homey. :):):) more

Sammy's bright and neat decor made us feel at home. My wife had the "Bacon and Brie L T" and I had he "Sammy's House Burger". My wife loved the BBLT and my Sammy's burger was as good a burger that I have ever had. We will definitely return to try other items from their many item menu. You will not be disappointed with Sammy's. more

We shared the Shrimp and Grits for an appetizer (which was outstanding).Then I had Meatloaf & Mac and Cheese and my husband had the Turkey Club (both great). We left happy & full! I cannot wait to go back with the whole family!! more
