Stay Away! 3/22/2012

UNORGANIZED. I had to wait for 90 minutes and then I lost my cool and stormed out of that hell hole. The doctor NEVER came in. Blood pressure taken and then taken again by a different person - wth??? I asked why & was told ""She was just a student"". Well, I found out that the place is full of students. I have good insurance and this is not what I'm paying 900 a month for so I'm going to look for another Doctor. It has a free clinic environment and you and your medical conditions are of no concern to any of the staff and the doctor won't refill my acid reflux script. Not sure why but I am out and am suffering. I filed a grievance and if that doesn't work, I'll take it a step further for my suffering if you get my drift. more

the worst clinic in cali!!! 8/31/2010

If I could rate this medical center any lower I would...its a lot like getting your hair cut at a beauty school...SCARY!!! There are more people in training here than have actually graduated. Dr Cipoletti is the worst of the bunch. There is no bedside manor and heaven forbid you have multiple problems...I was told I would need to make an appointment for each one...I have since moved and found a real clinic that cares about its patients now if I could just get the admin. to just answer the phone...expecting to wait a month for that call...hopefully my new Doctor will get my records this year but I am not holding my breath! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED>>>TERRIBLE CLINIC!!!! more

Not so bad 12/5/2009

Like another member said, the place has it's good and bad days. I've gone and waited litteraly hours to see a doctor before no joke. One time I waited nearly four. But I've gone and waited only thirty minutes before as well. I've seen a few different doctors there but Dr Cipoletti and Dr Wiley are the ones I like. I definately do NOT like Dr Fink. She is rude, condescending, and unsympathetic to her patients. My spouse goes here as well and he doesn't like her either. We try to avoid the place when we know she will be on staff that day. It also seems the waits are longer on days that she is there. I haven't been treated rudely by any of the nurses or other staff, just Dr Fink. Other than the long waits 50% of the time and Dr Fink, I don't think the place is too bad, and I've gotten good treatment there. Pros: Dr Cipoletti and Dr Wiley Cons: Dr Fink more

Fast and Quality Care 10/25/2009

Just like any other business it has it's bad days and good days...but I must say overall I love this place for myself and my family. Dr. Cipolette and Dr. Wiley have always been helpul and professional. I have and still will recommend either of these doctors to my family and friends. I love that anytime I need to see a doctor I know I can go there without an appt. Yes you have to wait but wherever you go you will wait. Be Patient! Pros: Always available more

An Excellent Doc-in-the-Box 3/22/2009

No business is all things to all people.\r \r I use my regular Internist for planned and preventive medical care but when you need to be seen on little to no notice it's hard to get in unless your situation is dire but short of emergency roomin nature.\r \r The Doctors in this practice are very busy but have always provided me with quality care. Multiple Dr.'s present means they can give you on the spot second opinions and you don't get shelved while your ""regular"" doctor is otherwise busy.\r \r The people at the front desk could be more patient and caring but, since they are not actually rendering services, I suspect they are simply clerks just earning a check. \r \r Once past the clerks, the paraprofessionals and Dr's are very good and have decent senses of humor. Just treat them like human beings and don't carry along any baggage you might have collected from interacting with the front desk or the long wait. Pros: Good Quality Care For Needs with No Notice Cons: No Notice means you need to ""take a number."" more

DONT EVER COME HERE!!! 2/24/2009

I went to Samaritan Medical Care Center when I sliced my finger open at work, on my first visit, they were extremely rude and just DID NOT CARE. The doctor who stitched my finger up was nice, but that doesn't change a thing. On my second visit, we waited almost an hour (with an appointment) to see the doctor, when i was finally called in the nurse told me to take off my own bandage, which was impossible. When the doctor FINALLY came in (a completely different doctor from my first visit) to examine my finger, she was angry to hear that the nurse didn't do her job. It took them about 20 minutes to finally do a 5 minute job. On my final visit, we waited another hour with an appointment, and another 45 minutes in the room waiting for the unbelievably rude and SMELLY doctor to come on and remove my stitches, it was more painful to get them removed than put in, this doctor was basically picking my finger apart and just tearing the stitches out. THIS IS THE WORST PLACE EVER, DO NOT EVER COME HERE, I'd rather drive 4000 miles to some other medical center than to come here ever again! Pros: nothing Cons: EVERYTHING POSSILE more

DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HORRIBLE PLACE 2/23/2009

HORRIBLE service. Waited 20 minutes in front lobby but an hour in the room without being seen because I chose to leave. The staff is rude, the doctor's don't give a damn. The front staff was even more rude when I ask for my copay back. A fight between two men almost broke out and not one of the male staff came out to see what was going on. Cons: EVERYTHING more

Rude and uncaring staff 2/23/2009

The walk-in receptionist--i think they called her Pia--is rude and unwilling to be helpful. This was my first and my last visit. She didn't recognize the health plan card I was carrying, and was unwilling to check into it further than with her co-worker that was in a conversation regarding Oscar dresses--this girl was also rude. There was a number to call on the card none of these lazy princesses would check into it. I told them that 2 doctors were listed on my plan's web page. I felt I was being treated as a second-class citizen, and that I was lying. She was happy to tell me--a person that was in pain and off-balance due to an ear infection that they weren't going to help me. Enraged by this treatment, I grabbed my card to call my plan from my car--because they want cell phones turned off and I am a considerate person. I returned to this person who looked like she saw a ghost when I returned.Ends up when the office manager was brought in she had a cash pay deal for me that was ""less than the 20% that you would get with your plan"" --apparently they did take it (I knew they did) SO this girl almost denied some revenue for the clinic for today (I only stayed because I am sick and didn't feel up to searching for another dr to take me in and it was raining)., but even more, this place will never get return business from me or anyone that I care about. Pros: It was close by, but I'd rather drive 30 miles while sick than return Cons: Rude and unhelpful staff--unless it was to critique the Oscar dresses more

GREAT CLINIC 11/3/2008

I have been to this clinic many times and I have to disagree with the review at the bottom. I have dealt with Mel many times ans she has been nothing but caring and nice to me. My dad has cancer and is seen regularly at the clinic and she always is the first to ask how he is doing. As for the doctors, Dr. Fink is the worst. She doesnt care about her patients. And one of the male doctors just seems like he is in a hurry to see other patients. more

Never again! 9/26/2008

I was looking around for a medical center that I could go to on a normal basis. The service that I received from the receptionist there is the reason that I will never come back to that place again. MEL is her name. If people want to talk to people that don't care about you or your health then she is the perfect person for you. I will not go to a place that will hire such a rude and uncaring person to represent them as the first person you meet and communicate with. She is the face of Samaritan Medical Care....why would you hire such a person? ..especially a medical care center! She should be at Walmart doing Returns!!! Pros: I have been there a few times and have had a few different doctors. Dr. Wiley is recommended. Cons: Quality of care and staff more

do not recommend if you care about your health 9/1/2008

the review above is so correct. I have been going here for a year because I hate to switch around (move). They do not listen to you, they do not want to give prescribtions. They are cocky, rude especially Diana Fink. Today I called because I have been symptomatic of a disease I already have and asked for a lab test. I had started a med that can make the disease worse. Guess what? The doctor refused. I am sob, swelling up, dry skin, flaky skin, sluggish, poor thought process. I am a Nurse! I wil not allow this dr. to get away with shoddy work. I called again and will show up if I have to. This dr fink needs to take care of me. She is a dr isn't she? Do not recommend, stay away. Pros: hours Cons: everything else more

Uncaring and uncooperative Medical Center 6/14/2008

I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. My daughter lives near there and has visited it twice, both times resulting in tears of frustration. because they are not only lacking in compassion but are downright rude \r \r Then today she called from Los Angeles, where she is visiting this weekend and developed a bladder infection, which she's had before. She called to see if they would call in a prescription to a pharmacy in LA so her trip wouldn't be ruined. They refused! It's not like she was asking for narcotics!\r \r So I looked up a medical clinic near her in LA and found one that had good reviews written about it. I decided to return the favor to this Web site and let anyone who is contemplating going to Samratian Medical Center know they should go there only as a last resort. Pros: Convenient location if you live nera there Cons: Rude staff, totally lacking in compassion more
