My wife and I ordered a dining room table and chairs, the wrong set was delivered twice, third scheduled attempt they were a no-show. The delivery personnel were unhelpful and couldn't have cared less. All of the customer service reps on the phone were rude and condescending. How is this place still in business? The customer service is a complete joke. One department never knows what the other is doing. They have screwed up my current order three times. Once they delivered it to the wrong place, then they unscheduled my delivery, and now they can't even tell me when they can call me to give me a period when they might be able to deliver my bed. I purchased two bedroom sets from Sam Levitz in 2002. The price was good and the product looked good so I thought I made a good choice. Three months later I was still trying to get the right pieces, it never happened I gave up and stopped fighting for my money/missing furniture. This was probably the worst shopping experience of my life! I would gladly pay more elsewhere to avoid ever doing business with Levitz again. The sales people are paid on commission, so they are desparate for a sale and will say ANYTHING to get it. Here is a list of complaints I had about my recent purchase. I bought two matching couches THREE MONTHS ago, and still have not received the right ones. They delivered one but the other wasn't in stock, so I waited a few weeks, only to have the other one delivered, but it wasn't the same color as the first, and there was a small tear in the top cushion that was glued down (???). So, I requested another one. After another few weeks, I received another couch, but it still wasn't the same color as the first one. So, we had to wait another few weeks to have another couch delivered. Today, after waiting 4 hours for the delivery people, the couch with the tear was delivered again to me. So, after THREE months, I am STILL waiting for them to get it right. I would never buy anything from them again, and would definately not recomment them. Cons: crappy quality more
