Warning 4/17/2021

Warning! If you are a Senior Citizen who made the mistake of drinking too much coffee before driving 2.5 hours to the Dahli- DO NOT arrive early for your appointment or wear Depends! There are no restroom accommodations before your appointment time! You will be directed to walk a quarter mile across the parking lot to a restaurant. Do not expect the staff to be customer friendly. Once in the museum, one wonders why the empty lobby and idle staff couldn’t let people in one-at-a-time to use the Dahli’s accommodations. more

  • The Scene
    This museum played a key role in transforming downtown St. Petersburg from "God's waiting room" into a tranquil but burgeoning center for the arts. The waterfront building holds the world's largest collection of works by the master of surrealism, donated mostly by renowned Dali collector A. Reynolds Morse.

    The Collection
    Some of Dali's most famous works, including "Disintegration of the Persistence of Memory" and a holographic image of Alice Cooper, are on display. The delicacy and realism of some of his early works will surprise people who know Dali only as the creator of bizarre fragmented paintings. The museum also regularly displays related works by other artists. Past exhibits have included Picasso, Warhol and Rosenquist. Both cutting-edge and established artists are represented.
