Saluda River Pet Food

Recently attended Saluda River pet store only to find they once again had a new staff.. Only problem with this is they are not knowledgeable on the products. The new manager had to call 3 stores to get basic info for me and while I was in the store I overheard the blonde (believe she was telling everyone she was the boss' daughter) bad mouth past employees as well as customers.. And it doesn't help that they are already over pricing their products.... I would NOT recommend this business to anyone.. more

I have bought 2 pet rats from this store & they are great!! they showed me great service & helped alot & answered all the questions i had, i had bought 1 about a year & wasnt sure about getting a new 1 to put with her, & they helped alot, i got my 2nd pet & she is great! they have alot of good pets & they are very friendly!! GREAT STORE!!! more

I have two GSD, my oldest is allergic to grain. In the process of studying different foods I found that most of them were available at Saluda River. Saluda River Pet Food Center is an amazing store with an even better staff! They really know their stuff and if they don't have an answer they will find one for you! To the person who called, maybe you should go in and see for yourself the different kinds of foods that they carry. Keep in mind that it is a local business with only a handful of employees to serve people in the store as well as answer the phones. Whenever I am in there they always greet you and are quick to help you out. They are also very busy so maybe they didn't have time to spend on the phone with you...if you were that concerned about your dog's allergies you may want to take them to a vet or not be lazy and actually go and find out for yourself! I called the Saluda River Store in Simpsonville inquiring about some dog food for my allergy ridden dog. I specifically told him what I needed and I asked for a recommendation. When he recommended some dog foods I had already tried, I told him I had tried and they didn't work. He then suggested another kind of dog food, and because I hadn't heard of it, I asked, ""What is that"". He responded, ""dog food"". When I told him, ""I know it's dog food, that's what I called you about"". He said , ""Oh, I wasn't sure you called about dog food"". Now we had already had a conversation and discussed my dog's skin allergy, chicken allergy, rice allergy, and sorghum allergy and then he says, ""Oh, I wasn't sure you called about dog food"". Please do not call the simpsonville store. Maybe the other stores have different and better customer service. Cons: Poor phone customer service more

I WENT TO THE SALUDA RIVER PET FOOD CENTER IN EASLEY AN THERE MANAGEMENT LOOKS AS IF HE SHOULD BE ON AMERICAS MOST WANTED. HE NO HELP AT ALL AN KNOWS VERY LITTLE ABOUT THE FOOD AN STUFF SALUDA RIVER SALES. BUT BESIDES THAT ALL OF THE YOUNGER GIRLS AN GUYS ARE VERY GOOD THEY KNOW THEY'RE FOOD, ANIMALS, FISH AN ETC. IT WAS A OK EXPIERENCE SINCE THERE WERE OTHER PEOPLE THERE TO HELP. BUT OTHER THAN THE MANAGER BEING OF NO HELP I THINK IT WAS AN OK EXPERIENCE. more

I am a local bird breeder that has done business with them for over 15 years. I know they pride themselves in purchasing from recommended local breeders who have quality handfed babies that are healthy and will someday become part of your family. Their birds don't have to be shipped in with the possibility of contamination and diseases. Also, they stock only the best in dog and cat food. I highly recommend the Blackwood brand. Have you checked the first ingredient on your dog food brand? Is it cornmeal or chicken? Was your brand recalled? more
