Saltz Plastic Surgery & Saltz Spa Vitoria

Very disappointed in my experience w/ Dr. Saltz. I went on a recommendation from another Dr for a particular procedure i needed. While he charged double what other drs charged for this simple procedure, i didn't want the ""bargain surgery"" and assumed I'd get what i paid for. I had a bad feeling from the beginning, but went through w/ the surgery. I felt uncomfortable through the entire process, felt he didn't respect privacy and the end result were devastating. It was something i had been cripplingly self conscious of my whole life & he made me feel embarrassed and exposed. I spent years saving up for this and i was very unhappy with the results. It seems he just cut me open & stitched me up, making no changes whatsoever. I guess i should be grateful i wasn't left deformed, but the before/after pics are identical. No changes but the depletion of my bank account, loss of dignity & unsightly scars. I am now paying a new dr to redo the procedure & spent another 3 years saving up for it. more

I have completely recovered from my recent facial surgery and am so pleased! Thanks Dr. Saltz for making me look and feel so much better. Your expertise, wonderful staff and kind bed side manner have made me feel like a million bucks! I'm going to tell all my friends (including male friends) to see you when they are ready to look younger. I had a facelift by him. When the swelling went down one side was decent, the other side looked like he didn't do anything at all...seriously nothing! For followup he had a nurse practitioner see me (tried to sell me some expensive ""miracle"" lotions) while he went off on a ski trip. Now I'm left with a disfigured face that looks worse than if I'd done nothing.\r You can find better. I don't think he's dedicated to his work. more

In May I had a breast reduction and a tummy tuck! I have to say, it is the best decision I have made in a long time. Dr. Saltz was incredible. My back had hurt for so many years and I could feel the difference on my back the next day. I feel amazing and look amazing! I would recommend Dr. Saltz to anyone. In fact, I will have him do the breast reduction for my daughter whose breast are too large for her frame. I would completely trust him with my child. Best doctor one could find. I suffered so many years with a big bump on my nose and a ball on the tip of my nose. I was teased all through school and have always been self conscious about my nose. My brother had a similar nose and after having a rhinoplasty in Southern California that was messed up I was worried about having my nose done. I learned about Dr. Saltz from a family member and new it would be worth it to come to Utah and meet him. After my consultation with him last summer I knew he was the man for me - I had surgery a few days later and have been pleased with the results from the moment I woke up from surgery! Firstly, let me say that I am truly happy for each and every one of you that received the very best care and results from Saltz. I did Not Ever have unrealistic expectations, ever! I went to Saltz, to straighten my nose and shave the bump. Period. There was never any discussion about the size or width of my nose. Had Saltz heard me then he would have another very happy client. Do you not think for one moment that I too would love to be singing praises of him, and enjoying the decision I made almost two years ago? Do not judge me, just take a moment and think about what it would be like for you had the outcome of your experience been different. I believe Saltz was on auto-pilot, hearing what he generally hears from all his patients when it comes to rhinoplasty. When I asked for less, it did not register with him at all. What I got was aggressive and irresponsible. If Saltz would release the document like a real man then there would be proof. I have since seen other surgeons and yes, he has disfigured me. I have nasal valve collapse, narrowed middle vault, scar contracture, over-rotated tip, alar retraction and saddle nose plus a few other injuries. I strive every day to regain a trust in people that I once had, hoping that I will have the strength to allow another surgeon to help me. Again, I am happy for you and hope that all your choices in life are met with the same success. I trust that this experience will somehow make sense to me as I look back upon my life and learn to trust again. Maybe trusting is my lesson here. more

I just read the review by brokenspirit and I have to say I was shocked. Dr. Renato Saltz?? Are you kidding me?? I, as well as many of my friends and family members, have had procedures by Dr. Saltz. Everyone I know has been extremely satisfied with their results. In fact, many of them have had several procedures by Dr. Saltz. He's world renowned, and he and his staff are professional and responsive. I too received a call from Dr. Saltz the evening of my surgery. I have to admit, I was pleased but surprised as I've never had a doctor call me at home to see how I was doing. Personally I think brokenspirit had unrealistic expectations. I mean if she liked her ethnic nose so much why did she get surgery? I'm sorry she can no longer look at herself in the mirror, but I'd venture to say she probably couldn't look at herself before the surgery, thus her visit to Dr. Saltz in the first place. Brokenspirit refers to karma in her review, then she should be aware that karma is the effect of all deeds create future experiences thus making one responsible for one's own life, and the pain and joy it brings to him/her and others. Sounds to me as if brokenspirit has never accepted responsibility for her own life, a bit of a victim in my opinion, trying to blame her looks and unhappiness on others. I just read the review from the person with the nose. I have had surgery with Dr. Saltz twice and have received exceptional care! Both times he did my surgery in the morning and after my recovery time at the surgery center I went home to recupperate. Dr. Saltz also called me around 10 p.m. each time to check on me and make sure I was doing well. I have many friends who have had surgery and NEVER receive a call from their surgeon. The follow up care with Dr. Saltz and his staff was awesome and I wonder if this nose person ever took the time to talk to Dr. Saltz and address her concerns. I know if I ever had concerns they were immediately addressed by Dr. Saltz and/or his staff! He is a great plastic surgeon and I would recommend him to anyone! Saltz is too self-absorbed and too busy with his medical spa and practice in Park City & SLC to give you the best care possible that one has a right to expect. He did not listen to one word I said; did not appreciate my ethnicity and has afflicted permanent physical, emotional & spiritual harm upon me. He was told 3 times in front of his assistant that I liked my large European nose and under no circumstances was he to reduce it in size or turn it up. His assistant even wrote it down in bold black ink and underscored my request. (he continues to ignore my request for this document and lied in his operative notes that I came to him unhappy with this size of my nose). Not only did he deny me my requests he has scooped out the tip of my nose and it has collapsed, he overthinned my bridge and there are now grooves running along both sides. There is also what appears to be a tendon in the inside left corner of my eye. The lower blepharoplasty has left me with bulging lower lids and the middle of my face it so taut that I can no longer express myself naturally. My surgery was at 6:30am and he finally took the time to call my home at 10pm. He has never once attempted to make right his shoddy work and has absolutely treated me awful. My trust is broken and I cope by never looking at myself in the mirror. Saltz should wonder what karmic justice awaits him now that he has afflicted permanent emotional and physical harm upon another. Pros: Nice location and office; friendly staff Cons: Beware!
