We spent a few days in St. Augustine, FL in May. I really enjoyed the meal I had at Salt Water Cowboy’s on St. Augustine Beach. The décor is like an old time fishing camp. The floors are wooden, the furniture twig and it sits on a salt marsh.
My husband had a combo plate with frog legs, catfish and alligator tail. I ordered steamed shrimp. Both dinners were prepared perfectly. Dinners came with cheese bread, salad or slaw, and 2 starch sides.
We actually ate out on the deck and watched the sunset over the marsh. It was beautiful, but the place is swarming with wild cats. I am not a “cat” person, and it freaked me out a little. If I go back to St. Augustine this is where I would go for dinner. I would however, eat inside. http://www.saltwatercowboys.com/
