Best

We visited Sal's Angus Grill on 2/19/11 with a party of 30 people.\r \r The entire experience was wonderful. Our servers were excellent - efficient, friendly, and always smiling...

Good service. Nice folks. Food isn't bad, but not great either. Overpriced food and drinks.

We had a GREAT time! 3/2/2011

We visited Sal's Angus Grill on 2/19/11 with a party of 30 people.\r \r The entire experience was wonderful. Our servers were excellent - efficient, friendly, and always smiling. The food was prepared perfectly and several in our party said it was the best meal they'd had in a long time. The ambiance was wonderful - casual but welcoming at the same time.\r \r The manager, Jeff, is a peach! We highly recommend Sal's and will visit again next time we're in the area. more

My first choice for GREAT food. 11/9/2010

This is a place I'd bring my favorite aunt. Clean, comfortable & very friendly atmosphere. You could only wish your mother cooked this well. Mmmm. I agree, the green beans are worth the vegetable consumption. And the maple butter on the buns-worth the splurge. more

Keep driving 8/1/2010

Order the BBQ Chicken nachos and they were burnt and\r smelled terrible. I got a good steak for $20 but my daughter recieved her dinner on a lunch tray like they use at school(Cheesy)??? Her hamburger was aright but she only got three smile fries, 4 stale raw baby carrots( have been in the fridge far too long) and the package of two oreo cookies were stale(the cookie part was soft and chewy) . Should upgrade the kids to real china if the parents are paying $20 for steak! Pros: Nice dining room Cons: Stale food more

Don't order the walle sandwich!!!! 7/31/2010

Both my wifw and I ordered the walleye sandwich yesterday. It came on a hoagie bun...a diner roll would have done the trick. Felt violated! Cons: more bun than walleye! more

Highly Recomended 1/4/2010

service 12/27/2009

I brought my kids in before it was busy and before a large party came in. The service was terrible. The waitress was slow was not prompt did not ask if we wanted more buns we had to ask for the beverage for the kids-Seemed liked we were waiting for everything. Bad business for a place that has very good food. New waitress needed. Server was Kayla table 118/1 what was this all about? Pros: food is always good Cons: service with very litttle business more

ask for Kirsten--- SHES THE BEST WAITRESS!!! 9/29/2008

We went Sat 9/27/08 for my husbands birthday. We brought 2 friends as well. Our meal was great! We all has different things. sunfish, jumbo shrimp, walleye, and stuffed chicken. We enjoyed the food, but I have to say Kirsten made the evening. She was attentive, funny, and we felt that she really, wanted to wait on us, and make sure everything was good. We think this place is great...and ask for Kirsten she will take care of all your questions, and just be a nice friendly waitress! Pros: all good!!! more

The Angus Bites..Well Worth the Beutiful Drive! 5/14/2008

We, as a family, have our favorites. Not one of the six are the same. What is the same is the flavor!! I suggest you start with an ice cold beverage and angus bites. We all agree on these. Then for entrees my sons pick is the ribs, EVERYTIME!!! My other son the delisious build your own satisifingly large burger. My husband is a steak or walley and myself the chicken alfreado with veggies or stuffed chicken breast. We all love the warm bread and maple butter, not to mention the famous green beans!! You must take the beautiful drive and enjoy a delicious meal. The two little ones like the kids spagetti and chicken strips and their favorite the complimentary merry go round and build your own soft serve sundae. Makes for a great family night out. Pros: Atmosphere, menu and flavor. more

Don't bother 3/6/2008

Over the past couple years my husband and I have dined at Sal?s approximately once a month on Wednesday for the walleye special. Our general experience is that the food and/or service is inconsistent . But we have continued to come, hoping for the best. After our last experience we may not bother again.\r \r We came with a friend, hoping it would be one of the better nights. It was not. We arrived at around 8 PM, thinking this was not cutting it too close. The service was not the worst ever, but certainly not stellar. The problem seemed to be in the kitchen. Our initial serving of walleye was pretty small. My husband and friend had to get three re-fills; the portions were so small they were joking about getting sunfish fillets. We initially got tartar sauce, but when we requested more were informed that they were out.\r \r We were aware the kitchen closed at 9 and did not tarry. Nonetheless, it was 9 PM by the time we left. About 8:45 several waitresses came out and started slamming chairs on the tables throughout the entire room, including the tables right next to ours. Were they in such a hurry to get home they couldn?t wait until we were gone? My husband forgot his hat, so we had to return about 9:30 and I noticed one or more waitresses sitting at the bar.\r \r I wrote a letter to the owner and got no response. It must be nice that they have so many patrons that they can afford to get rid of a few. Pros: Nice location and decor Cons: See review more
