From front desk service to facials I have been treated to outstanding customer service and a professional atmosphere seldom achieved in such a complete way by one spa/salon. With a special nod to my stylist, Stephanie, who takes the time to listen to my thoughts and then makes them a reality. I will never go to any other salon/spa, I have been spoiled. more

Somers Salon is exceptional. As far as refreshments, I would enjoy some fruit and cheese with my wine but maybe I'm being spoiled. :) The font desk staff are always professional and accomadating. Somers makes it easy to schedule appointments and fulfill your requests. more

Not only do I always leave with a fabulous hair cut, but the salon also did my hair and makeup for my wedding - as usual, they did a great job! I can't say enough good things about them. Lastly, they are reasonable priced for high end salons in this area. more

I felt that the staff was highly trained professionals, and could tell that they definatly keep up on their education! My stylist was extremely friendly, fun, and informative. She also did the best foils I have ever had! They were all the way down to the root, and extremely precise. I would highly recommend this salon to anybody that enjoys being pampered in a high class environment. more

As soon as I walked in, the gentlemen (forgot his name) gave me a tour. He seemed very pushy, ie., trying to sell, sell. When I got my hair done, the stylist did a nice job with my color and cut. But she styled it in a very curly wet look style. It looked awful. This was after I told her that I don't like my hair curly. I think she didn't want to spend the time blow drying. Even though I paid full price. When I paid, the gentlemen had said our goal is for you to purchase more of our services (Well, yeahhhhh.). The guy didn't even care that I was unemployed, which he knew. When I paid, he said, oh, we don't include tips on the credit card, so you will need to write a separate check or use cash. YES, I had all intentions of tipping the young lady. (I always tip and tip generously). He then asked me if I wanted to purchase shampoo this after I purchased 2 styling products (total 30.00). I said no thanks, he said, I thought you used the type of shampoo, I said, yes, but I have some at home. He then looked at me very strange. He just gave me a bad vibe, it was like he was not sincere at all. I know that everyone is out to make money, but don't be PUSHY and swarmy about it. more

BEWARE - I walked in with beautiful blond highlights & warm taupy brown hair (from somewhere else) & left with copper-orange highlights and murky black-brown hair - got charged for extra hair color that I didn't ask for. She brought over 3 mixing bowls and charged me for 3 hair color services when I only wanted one color service. Same day, got a ""brazilian wax"" - it wasn't even a full brazilian (she left hair) & they charged me $77.00!!! Not even in L.A. are they that much. Try Botanica Day Spa - a million times better than that shaddy rip-off Somers place. They are horrible - and they are horrible with a smile. THEY ARE SOOOOOO SNEAKY THE WAY THAT ADD CHARGES TO YOUR BILL. THEY ARE SO CREEPY-SHADDY! I've given them 3 chances & all 3 times they added charges in such a sneaky way. I cannot stress enough to NOT WALK IN THOSE DOORS - YOU WILL ONLY GET BAD SERVICES, THEY WILL RUIN YOUR HAIR & CHARGE YOU EXTRA FOR IT. Pros: Nothing good to say about this so called salon & spa Cons: They overcharge you without asking. Way overpriced! more

I had gone to this salon a handful of times. My first experience was with a ""not so nice "" stylist. I see she is no longer there. I thought I would ask for someone else. While this stylist was really sweet and ""appeared"" to listen to what I wanted.....my haircut couldn't of been futher from the giant size picture I brought in. The hair color was one of the best I have ever had...but the continually unexpected charges were a disappointment. I always got the same thing....cut and color. Prices varied each time I went in. I finally asked for a print out of my receipt and noticed I was being charged for a special conditioner I did not ask for ??! 25.00 extra......My stylist also stated she was unable to follow my directions regarding my bangs because she had only cut my hair a few times. I think three times of telling her what I did NOT want was plenty of chances to get it right. \r On a more positive note.....the salon is very nice and clean. Extremely relaxing..... more

WORST SALON EVER!!!!Well I would not call it a salon..Horrible color, very pusy stylist always triyng to sell EXTRA products, and way overcharging..I had my highlights done (simply blonde) after waiting over 30 minutes for the stylist who was running behind, I finally left 3 hours later with WET uncombed hair, and partial highlights instead of the FULL I paid for..I did contact the salon they knew I was unhappy and made no attempts to correct the problem. I was quoted $90 by the stylist for FULL highlights however my bill was $140 she claimed used a special conditioner? BTW the crown and back of my hair were not foiled...\r \r The company deleted my first review so LADIES beware of the POOR SERVICE and QUALITY, Cons: Overcharged, pushy Stylists, very poor foil jobs more

I recently had an AWFUL experience at this salon. I scheduled a SIMPLE eyebrow wax and in turn had my eyelids literally ripped off leaving me with raw skin and now scarred eyelids. To make matters worse, the management that was at one point ""willing to do whatever was necessary to improve the situation"" had me drive to the salon so they could tell me that this was MY fault because I was on my period the day this happened and then gave me two samples of cream to help heal my eyes. The people at this place are unbelievable! I would NOT recommend this salon to anyone and highly suggest to stay as far away from it as possible! I wish I could post pictures of my eyes... they were so swollen and nasty looking for days after the service... at one point I could barely open my eyes because of the swelling... save yourself and stay away from this salon! more

I've been a loyal client of both the skin care team and the stylists at Somers and Co. for 4 years. I am consistently pleased with their work. The team is highly educated; they work hard to ensure that your style fits your hair, maintainence goals, and lifestyle; they use wonderful products; the salon has lovely decor and is always tranquil and serene inside. Not only do I always leave with a fabulous hair cut, but the salon also did my hair and makeup for my wedding - as usual, they did a great job! I can't say enough good things about them. Lastly, they are reasonable priced for high end salons in this area. more
