I found a hidden gem. Trilogy in Newton, MA. Hair Salons are on every corner of every town, but this one has something very unique. Friendly staff and warm cozy ambiance. This was just the first impression. To my delight, I had a very talented hair stylist. I recommend her highly. Ask for Marina when booking your hair cut or color. She is top of the line. She listens when you speak and is very gifted with the scissors. I walked out feeling like I had a complete makeover. Give Salon Trilogy and Marina a try -- you will surely get a-HEAD!!!!! more

TRILOGY SALON IS BY FAR MY FAVORITE SALON. THE EXPERIENCE BEGINS FROM THE MOMENT YOU WALK THROUGH THE DOOR, WITH THE WARM WELCOMING OF THE STAFF..... UNTIL......WELL.... I'M STILL ENJOYING MY EXPERIENCE...(9 MOS LATER). I HAVE BEEN DOING MY HAIR EXTENSIONS FOR MANY YEARS NOW, AND BY FAR, ALLANA IS THE BEST AT THIS TASK. THE PROFESSIONALISM AND QUALITY OF HER WORK, IS IMPRESSIVE AND SUPERIOR IN COMPARISON TO THE WORK OF OTHERS. MY LAST SET WAS COMPLETED 9 MOS AGO, AND I AM STILL ENJOYING THE FULLNESS AND BEAUTY OF MY EXTENSIONS. AS MANY OF YOU KNOW, HAIR EXTENSIONS LAST ONLY A FEW MONTHS, BUT ALLANA HAS PERFECTED HER TECHNIQUE AND SKILL, THUS ALLOWING ME TO STILL ENJOY THEM TILL THIS DAY. ADDITIONALLY TO THE HAIR EXTENSION WORK, ALLANA IS A GREAT HAIR DRESSER. I ORIGINALLY MET ALLANA YEARS AGO WHEN I HAD A HAIR COLOR EMERGENCY. MY HAIR WAS DYED BLONDE. I WANTED TO ADD A FEW BLACK HIGHLIGHTS. SO I WENT TO THIS SUPER EXPENSIVE SALON IN THE CITY, AND SADLY ENOUGH, TURNED ALL OF MY HAIR INTO BLACK. I WAS DEVASTATED AND INFURIATED. FORTUNATELY FOR ME, ALLANA CAME TO THE RESCUE. AGAIN SHE USED HER EXPERTISE AND SKILL, AND CORRECTED THE HAIR COLOR. IT TOOK A FEW TRIES AND TIME, BUT SHE WAS CAPABLE OF RESTORING MY COLOR AND MADE MY HAIR LOOK HEALTHY AND SHINY AGAIN. I WOULD ALSO RECOMMEND ANY MEMBER OF HER TEAM TO DYE, CUT, STYLE, OR JUST GIVE A LITTLE SHINE TO YOUR HAIR. I HAVE BEEN A TRUE FOLLOWER OF THIS SALON, AND I HAVE FIRST HAND KNOWLEDGE OF THE TRILOGY TEAMS' CAPABILITIES. more

The salon was great, great customer service, very friend attentive and chic environment, nested in Newton you could never tell,,,, it beats the city salons with their quick hastiness, Vanna cut my hair and she was great, her cuts are quite precise and to the t.! I highly recommend this salon! more

Newton's Classiest salon 10/28/2011

I just got a fabulous haircut and blow-dry from Marsha. She was fantastic--professional and very attentive. Absolutely loved my haircut! I have been everywhere in Boston and have finally found a great stylist who knows how to cut and style my hair. I felt like she really listened and didn't take it too far without asking me first. It looks the best it ever has and she was able to fix some ""problem areas"" without cutting too much hair off or dry it out . It was very easy to make an appointment and they seemed to be running on time--I hate waiting! The salon was gorgeous and I would definitely come back on a regular basis or just for a quick wash and blow dry with Marsha for a special occasion. more

Paula Bowler is simply put, The Best. Whether it's style or color she seems to be able to look at you and know what you need to bring out that inner beauty (or in my case the rugged handsomeness ;) ) that everyone possesses. I trust her to give me everything she has, she's an artist. We talk, and all the while she works, and even in the hubub of a busy salon, she never loses her concentration. When you're in her chair, she belongs to you only. After you leave, you belong to her. It's a relationship I treasure and would never willingly give up. more

Love, love, love Paula!!! I have been seeing Paula for years and have not stopped getting compliments on my cuts. She is constantly keeping up with the new styles. I trust her to do what she thinks is best which is HUUGGGEEEE!!! Even after all the times I've been with her. She and I are both willing to try new things and are always happy with the end result. Paula is outa this world.... seriously.. Neptune I think! 10/7/2011

I went in to Salon Trilogy for a transformation into a 2 tone hair for a benefit walk. Paula was more than willing to experiment..... She walked me through the process, made me totally comfortable and then told me what she was going to do as we went along. I got so many compliments on her cut, style and coloring at the walk, I know I will be going to see Paula everytime I need asistance with my hair.....whether I think I need it or not... lol. more

If you're particular about your hair and want a stylist with vision and great communications skills then head over to Salon Trilogy to see Paula Bowler. New to this salon, Paula brings her considerable experience and skills to the relaxing environment at Trilogy. Her cutting skills first rate and my hair is always complemented Paula's color sense is superb and she has a masterful and artistic hand with the foils. Someone I work with recently greeted me with: ""beautiful, just beautiful. Your highlights just make your eyes pop!"". I've recently tried a new product line called simply smooth to relax my thick wavy hair. Ordinarily my hair can get pretty unmanageable in summer humidity but the treatment kept my hair silky and straight throughout the muggiest days of the season. I trust Paula with all aspects of making my hair a personal success. Life can be full of uncertainty but with Paula's help YOUR hair is a sure thing. more

Newbury quality in the suburbs! 10/6/2011

My hair is extremely important to me. I don't care much about make-up or nails, but don't mess up my hair! Color and cut must be nailed. So when I found Devan I couldn't have been happier! Devan takes my mousy-brown hair and turns it into a deep rich chocolate that makes the fellas' swoon. And her cuts? Well people notice them. Best part is that they work both when my hair is curly or straight. Did I mention she is the ONLY stylist who knows how to blow out my hair? I cannot stand when a stylist tries to flat iron my hair--I live with naturally curly hair everyday, please give me a normal, bouncy blowout! Well, she does it right and even one better bought me a brush and showed me how to do it myself. How is that for service?! If you want your hair done right from someone with great experience on Newbury St. but don't want to hassle with the parking, go and see Devan at Salon Trilogy. Now. more

Best Extentions Ever!!!! 10/6/2011

Its been 1 month since I've had my AMAZING Socap extensions in. Allana is the by far the best stylist to go to for extensions. This is my fifth set and I cant say enough! The experience at Salon Trilogy has been wonderful I love to going to get them colored and styled. Everyone stops to ask about my hair and cant believe their extensions, they just look so natural and healthy! I'm competing for a pageant this year and I know my look will hold for the whole night ! Think about having that on a regular basis from morning to night! Thank you Allana you're the best :) more

Would recommend to anyone! 10/6/2011

I just moved to the Boston area and needed to find a new place to have my hair cut, which is not an easy decision to make considering I am very particular about my hair. When I entered Salon Trilogy I was greeted by the lovely girl at the front desk. Within minutes I was already in the chair of a friendly and professional hair stylist named Leslie. After shampooing and drying my hair, she asked how I would like my hair cut. She was very careful to listen to exactly what I wanted and cut my hair to my exact specifications in a timely manner. My hair turned out GREAT in fact! The other stylists at the salon were very friendly as well, one of them even changed the music station to Guns & Roses, because my name Axel hahaha. Overall the experience was exactly what I was looking for, and I found the place and stylist I was looking for. more

Salon Triology is GREAT!!! 10/6/2011

Last weekend I needed to get a wash and blow-dry for a wedding, since my usual salon was unable to take me last minute, I came accross Salon Triology, hoping that they could fit me in. Immediately I felt a great rapport with all the staff, and very much at home. Luckily they were able to take me right away. I was introduced to the sweetest girI Leslie. I have to admit I was very nervous seeing someone new because I have very curly hair and it's not easy to blow-dry. But Lesie did an AMAZING job!! It wasn't frizzy what so ever and it was so shiny!!! I think I have found myself a new hairdresser. Thanks Leslie!!! more

Awesome blow dry with Leslie! 10/5/2011

I recently moved to Boston and just started a new job in Newton. I was looking for a salon to get a blow dry to last me for a few days and came across Trilogy Salon. The salon itself if absolutely gorgeous and everybody there made me feel welcome and comfortable. The shampoo and conditioner were super high quality and made my hair smell and feel great. Leslie's blow dry was amazing and she truly listened when I told her that I wanted my hair styled conservatively since I work with kids. I loved how my hair looked and only wish it could look so great every day. In the future, when I need a cut/color, I am definitely going to go back to Leslie. So glad I found this place! more

Great stylists, Awesome atmosphere 10/4/2011

I've been to Salon Trilogy a twice in the past 2 weeks. When you walk in, it just has a great vibe to the place. The front desk girls are super friendly and very attentive. The set up is great and you can tell that everyone is in a great mood. I got my hair colored by Leslie who did an excellent job making sure I was satisfied and gave me suggestions on what colors to choose. It looks fantastic after she finished up with everything. She was extremely attentive to my needs and wanted to ensure I was satisfied with the services. The second time I came in was to get feather extensions and again, I was extremely indecisive so had the help of the front desk girls as well as the owner. Together we were able to pick something subtle yet fun. Again, great atmosphere and I will definitely be back for more services! more

a great haircut can make your whole month! 10/1/2011

I recently had my hair done at Salon Trilogy in Newton. I thought it was just going to be another standard haircut. I was floored. The salon itself is gorgeous, a wonderfully peaceful yet energetic environment. There is ample street parking out front and the location is great. The woman working the front desk greeted me with a smile and asked if I'd like a drink while I waited. When my stylist Leslie came over, she sat down and really listened to me as I described what I wanted. She was patient, professional and extremely genuine. Leslie took excellent care of me, cutting my hair with amazing precision and focus, but also with a bit of her own flare. I was always comfortable and looked after. By the end of of my experience at Salon Trilogy, I walked out with the most gorgeous, soft, healthy looking hair, with a beautiful cut that was both sexy and professional, and the most fantastic autumn color that Leslie had put together for me. I have never gotten so many compliments on my hair as I have since I left the Salon. I am hooked on Salon Trilogy, and can't wait until my next appointment! Love this place and my amazing stylist/ colorist! 9/24/2011

I've gone to many salons and stylists in the past, and after discovering Salon Trilogy, I'm not going anywhere else ever again!! It's a beautiful salon in a convenient location. The staff is very friendly and professional and take client service very seriously - I always feel like a highly valued customer. Allana is my stylist and is an incredibly talented artist - she always does an incredible job on my hair, both color and cut. She always takes the time to listen to her clients and executes according to their preferences while adding her own artistic vision. She always exceeds my expectations, and I feel like a million bucks each time I leave the salon!! And I always get compliments on both my highlights and on my cut. I'm pretty low maintenance when it comes to styling my own hair, and she knows just how to cut it to give it awesome shape, so that it looks fabulous even with little maintenance required. She has also showed me the best products for my hair and exactly how to use them, and it has made a huge difference in how my hair looks and feels. She now also cuts my boyfriend's hair, and does a great job on men's cuts as well. If you're looking for a new salon, I highly recommend this place, you won't regret it! more

Amazing Salon! 9/20/2011

Salon Trilogy is by far the best salon I have ever been to. It's beautiful inside with tons of natural light. All the staff there are so friendly and helpful and I always get a great cut and style. I have curly hair which can come out horribly if done wrong but Allana has always done an amazing job with my hair and I'm always getting compliments after I get my hair done by her. I have also gotten highlights (by Allana) and they were perfect and so natural looking. I also recommend this salon if you're planning your wedding--Allana did an exceptional job for me and my bridesmaids on my wedding day! This salon is also really convenient since the T (D line) is located right across the street. more

Finest Salon in the Metro Boston Area 9/18/2011

Salon Trilogy is the finest Salon in the Metro Boston area. The Salon itself has a classy chic atmosphere with a convenient location. All of the stylists are wonderful but Allana is my favorite. She does an amazing job with the cut and color. I have blonde hair which can be tricky to get the right hue. I always leave with an exceptionally well balanced and natural color that has a healthy shine. Her hair cuts are a true work of art especially with my fine and delicate hair. However; her work with extensions is out of this world. Allana is an expert at extensions and extremely knowledgeable about the variety of products on the market. She skillful puts them in and cuts my hair in a way that one can never tell that I have extensions. Many of my friends that have extensions themselves are surprised to learn that I have them as well. She is extremely gentle and skillful when removing them. My hair is never damaged even though it is very fine and delicate. After my hair is done I get showered with compliments and people frequently stop me to ask for the number of my stylist. Fabulous Experience with Fabulous Stylist, Paula Bowler 9/12/2011

I have had my hair styled by Paula for over 23 years now, and obviously I love how she styles my hair. More recently, she has joined a wonderful salon, Salon Trilogy, and I've delved into the world of coloring my hair and adding highlights. Paula is always so talented and innovative and ""on the cutting edge"", pun intended!!! I've had countless compliments on my cut and color. Her ""Up-Do's"" are not to be believed! She has styled me for countless weddings (my own included). Even seeing her for a simple ""blow-out"" is a major treat. Looking for a fabulous stylist?
