Salon Sedona

my hairstylist moved away to california 3 years ago, and since then i have been trying out different places... never happy with my cut. i would always have to come home and 'dr it up' -- and i am not a hair stylist, so i always ended up with something a little better than what i walked out with, but still nothing close to what i was looking for. i read some of the reviews online about salon sedona, some of them were really good and some of them weren't so good, so i didn't think i had anything to lose -- luckily, my hair always grows. when i called i explained i had never been there and the receptionist explained that $36 gets you a wash, cut, blow dry, and style, and booked me for an appointment the next day. i showed up and was introduced to Rose, who immediately sat me down and did a thorough consultation -- she actually listened to me and heard what i was saying, which was wonderful... i didn't feel like she was just asking because she's supposed to. she gave me really good tips about how my hair should be cut and how it should lay, and fixed the awful bang and facefram job i had from the last person who had cut my hair... i think she agreed that my previous haircut was a disaster, but she didn't make me feel bad about it. she just made it look really good -- when i left the salon and arrived at work, i was greeted with many compliments, and others trying to figure out what was different about my appearance, but everyone was complimentary. my husband loves it -- it's a new look for me and rose did it very well! i was so happy -- i am so happy! i don't think i need to go anywhere else now!! the next day when i washed it and styled it on my own it still looked just as good as when Rose did. definitely going back, and this time i won't wait so long to schedule a new appointment! more

I've been going to Salon Sedona for several years, but I'm ready for a change now. At Salon Sedona, I found a stylist that can cut certain styles but I've since outgrown those styles and found that she is not versatile...although good at what I was used to.\r \r I've had bad experiences and EXCELLENT experiences by the same hands. It's not that great of a hoopla. As with any stylist that is ANY good..showing pictures and telling them exactly what you want is key. Its deff NOT the best salon in cleveland...it's a safe salon where they wont totally screw you up. They are by far not into cutting edge cuts at all...so keeping up with modern styles is hard to find from stylists anyhwere. \r I've never seen anyone walk out that looks like they are ready for the red carpet! \r \r The receptionist does make you uncomfortable with staring at the customers out of shear boredom. It's a very pretty salon, no doubt about that...I'd like to know who decorated that place, however, the skill level is not a match to the pretty environment! It's just the plain truth. its okay for a last minute haircut but nothing to drive a long distance over. It really sounds like the hairstylists themselves are rating their own salon, I have had friends and family go there and everyone says ""ehh its okay"" and they don't make a point to return. I have been to this salon before and my experience was fine.... however, I went today and had such a HORRIBLE experience I would never consider going back. The stylist that cut my hair was the most unpleasant women ever. I went in to get my hair trimmed and she chopped off 5 inches!!! She obviously did not care what I thought or what I looked like. I have never been so unhappy with a hair cut. It wasn't what I asked for and the stylist did not care. I would just avoid this place at all cost. \r Pros: It is a nice salon more

I started going to sedona a couple of months ago. Since then, I have had nothing but compliments after compliments about my hair color and cut since I started to go. It makes me feel wonderful, that finally I have found somewhere where I like the atmosphere and the work that they do. Also, I find it wonderful that every stylist there learns from eachother and helps eachother out. They really seem to love to learn from eachother , by watching others do hair on their down time, which by they way I think is very important. What if you need to go to another stylist ther beacause you cant get in with yours? Well at least now I know that I can trust them all beacuse they learn from eachother and they all do great work! Its great to see people working together and talking, rather than not and feeling tension between them. Everyone there is fun, and outgoing, never a dull conversation, which I LOVE! I feel so realaxed and comfortable when there its a shame I havn't found them earlier! Pros: Great workers, Pleasant atmosphere!! more

Most of the girls are great and the haircuts are usually good. Color and highlights usually good. The girl that answers phones needs to try to act busy. When there is nothing for her to do she talks on her cell phone. She sits in the salon seats and stares at the people getting their hair done. I am not sure how relaxing of an atmosphere that is. I can't believe that girl gets paid to roam around and do basically nothing but socialize. more

I have been visiting Salon Sedona for a few years now and I can tell you that I have never had a bad experience. And let me tell you, I am very hard to please when it comes to my hair! When I started going to this salon, I was immediately pleased with not only the professionalism, but the friendliness there as well. When I came home that first time, My entire family thought that the cut was great. (I start simple with new salons, Cut only the first time) In fact, I have my mom and 3 sisters going there now! I have recently decided to lighten my hair and try the blonde thing for a while and I have never had so many compliments on my hair ever before. The color is fantastic and it looks so incredibly natural. I have even decided to shake things up some more and change the color again, and I know that I have nothing to worry about. :)\r \r I would also like to thank Jen and the girls at the salon for an amazing experience the morning of my sister's wedding. I knew that this would be the perfect place to prepare for such a special day and the staff could not have been better. Great service, relaxing atmosphere, super value--that's how I would rate Salon Sedona. From the time you walk in and see the pleasing decor, you feel right at home. The owner and staff are very friendly and accommodating and the hours are geared for everyone. On a personal note, one of the other positives to this salon is that when having your hair washed they have THE MOST comfortable chairs and wash bowls I have EVER experienced--this coming from someone with disc problems in the neck and back. I was always dreading the wash and rinse during salon visits because I ended up having pain, stiffness, and sometimes immobility in my neck or back by the time I would arrive home. So I would end up taking my muscle relaxants, pain pills and ice packs just to function somewhat normally again (and anyone who suffers from this really knows what I mean!) But just the way their chairs/bowls are I don't seem to have a problem with that anymore---I am much more comfortable so it becomes a very relaxing experience for me!! Not to mention that my color and highlights have been the best ever, along with my haircuts...I am always getting compliments from friends and co-workers that my hair looks great (and of course they always ask what salon does it so now I carry a few extra business cards from the gal that does my hair). I have even had strangers in checkout lines at stores ask where I have my hair done. I can't say enough so if you haven't been there you might want to give yourself a treat -- you'll be glad you did because THEY ARE THE BEST!!! Pros: Service, Quality, Value Cons: None more

Finally I have found a salon worth going back to! When booking my appointment, the recptionist was very friendly and helpful. When I had first arrived there, I was immediately greeted with a warm welcome from everyone who had worked there. The staff was overly friendly and pleasant, which is very hard to find these days!!! My stylist, even though concerned and nervous because she was the youngest there, was AMAZING and definately proved me wrong! She was very thoughtful towards my ideas, and listened to what I wanted done, instead of just doing what she had wanted to do with my hair. I feel like every other salon I had gone to in the past was a HUGE waste of my time, money and effort to go there. I wish i would of found Salon Sedona a lot earlier so I would of been pleased with my hair longer. Prices very affordable and well worth my time and effort to go there!!!! Hands down THE BEST SALON IN CLEVELAND! more

Salon Sedona is by far the best salon in the Clevelend 'hands down! I got my hair done for my Homecoming there, and it made my evening. i cant even count how many compliments i got! my hairstylist was so friendly, gentle, thougthful and listened to what i had to say. the atmosphere was pleasant and made me feel very comfortable. the products are amazing; they even did my makeup there an it was the best i have ever gotten it done. they all are very knowlegable and considerate. NEVER RUDE. ive been going there for about three in a half years now and will conitinue for many more!! i highly recommend Salon Sedona to EVERYONE,and anyone who thinks differently is seriously crazy and down right out of there minds. This place is the worst salon I've ever been too. My haircut turned out Ok, but the service was horrible. The girl that cut my hair was not friendly at all (she barely said three words to me), she started cutting my hair without even telling me what she was going to do and she was really rough; I thought she was going to pull my hair out! Plus, the hairbrush she used was not clean, it was still full of other people's hair. When I was paying my bill the girl at the register took a phone call (when there was someone else there that could have answered it) and completely ignored me when I was trying to hand her my receipt.\r A co-worker of mine also went here to get her hair dyed and when she left she had dye all over her face and her hair was still full of dye that hadn't been rinsed out.\r This place is AWFUL! I do not recommend it! more

I travel from the Akron Canton area to visit Salon Sedona and it's worth the trip. I'm always happy with my hair and I trust their input and talent when I feel like trying something new!
