I love this salon, Terry is excellent with my hair and i have very unmanageable hair. it isn't quite curly but not quite straight. Yet he always manages to find a style that works for me. Ericka and Timika do my kids hair and they always leave with the latest styles. Everyone in the shop is incredibly friendly. I also enjoy there product line. more

I love this place! Everyone is so friendly, the atmosphere is too cool for words, and the quality of the work that I have received on my hair is truly the best I've had in a long time! Terry has gone to great measures, well beyond my expectations, to make sure I leave looking and feeling fabulous! And Ericka, who recently did my color and shaping on my long hair, did such a great job I asked her to take a picture so I could use it for future reference. Seriously, this place is full of very talented hair stylists/colorists with experience and very current on all the ""new doos""! If you haven't tried them, you need to. I have very sensitive skin, especially on my head, and I finally found a shampoo and conditioner that doesn't cause my head to itch all the time. I was in needing of a change and a big pick me up after a bad year ,and a bad year of hair . I found Salon Purple that is when things stared to turn a round , hair and all . They have a Styles, Aston , she walked me through a whole new look with my make-up. It made me look at myself in a new way . Then bam , what do you know she can do hair too !!! I needed a quick cut, I was going out of town. A friend told me about Daunya over at Salon Purple. I called got in. Let me say first of all I love the look of the salon! Daunya did a great job! She was very attentive and listened to what I had to say, and gave me some input on what she thought I should do with my hair. I came across Salon Purple a little over a year ago and went in for highlights and a trim; unfortunately, I've jumped from stylist to sylist over the years due to never being satisified. I met Terry and was surprised at just how conversational and friendly he was. He actually sat down with me, got to know me, what I liked and how I wanted my hair. This salon is the perfect balance of professional and casual. Before getting my hair styled by Avery I was sure I was doomed to have a perpetual string of bad hair cuts and poorly colored hair... but finally! A few things I'd like to say about Salon Purple: 1. The atmosphere is great. The decor is really hip and inviting, the music that they play is loud enough to create a mood, but not too loud to be annoying. I guess that's not really something that you'd think to be necessary in a place where you go to get your hair styled, but it's a really great touch that enhances the entire experience. 2. The people are wonderful. I have had conversations with many of the staff members, the stylists and the owner, and they are all super friendly, helpful and courteous. They all really know their trade very well, and they run a tight ship. The owner seems to be a really great person to work for, and it shows in the attitudes of the employees I've met with. I always enjoy doing business with people who enjoy their profession, and the people at Salon Purple definitely do. 3. The service is excellent. I do not have great hair to begin with, and little to no sense as to how to make it look cool. So when I go into a salon environment, I am always nervous that they will not be able to help me, or that they will take what little hair I have left (lulz) and mess it up (this has happened on occasion elsewhere--they were either trying to make it too hipster or just not in possession of the skills to work with what I've got going on) The stylist that has helped me at Salon Purple, Avery, addressed my concerns immediately and worked with me to come up with a style that works for me. And, every time, I am amazed with the results. Long story longer, I think Salon Purple is a great place to go for a full experience in hair style. The staff is professional and courteous as well as creative and artistic, and I could not suggest a better salon to go to for all of your needs. more

I was in need of a local hair dresser since my regular hair dresser moved and was too far of a drive for me. I had been seeing her for 7 years so finding a new hair dresser was not easy. I heard great things about Salon Purple and Erica! I had Erica cut my hair and have been seeing her since. She does a wonderful job and works to accommodate my schedule. She even did my hair for my bridal pictures, which turned out amazing! I would recommend Erica to anyone who is need of a great haircut and/or color.
