I've been coming to this salon for the past two years. Prior to this I was at a Salon in Pleasanton for approx 14 years. I have been so happy with Shirley's ability to do my hair and extensions along with my color. I am constantly getting compliments on my hair color and how my hair looks and I couldn't be happier! I am super grateful to have found the Salon Prive and Shirley. They also have the best products in stock! It's worth the long drive from my home! more

What a beautiful salon. The staff here is super nice. They even offered me coffee or tea as I sat waiting for my new stylist. I came in with many concerns with finding the right person to manage my mane for me, as I have an abundance of hair. I was introduced to Shirley. What a rare find! I don't let just anyone dive right into my hair, but she seemed so knowledgable in my areas of concern. I wanted to color my hair and also get the Brazilian Blowout treatment done. Through a lengthy consultation, I found Shirley has been straightening hair for almost 20 years, does her own hair and it's gorgeous. Well a few hours later, I am sporting a new color which I love and smooth frizz free hair. My experience with her was a gift from the hair Gods. She is friendly, funny, and most professional. She explained every step of the Brazilian blowout process as she performed the service. I love the fact that I didn't have to be on public display, because she performs all her work in a private suite. I don't have to hear young stylist talk about their drama, note I said their. My entire appointment was devoted to just me. Lastly, I picked up some much needed hair product to care for my new silky hair, and a set of hot rollers. I will definitely be coming back. My next appointment is already scheduled. The salons pricing is a little on the expensive side, but you receive every bit if your monies worth, because you will walk out looking like a million bucks. So I'm new to the tri valley and have been searching for a salon that excels in not only customer service but skills as well. I finally found it!!! Love this place and love the set up. Very intimate if you chose a stylist in the private suites or very open and lively if you choose a stylist on the main floor. Beautiful decor and very welcoming. Don't be fooled by the fact they don't have a receptionist! You will be greeted in a timely manor. I love it and would recommend this place to my gf's if I had more but I'm new to the area so for now I recommend it to you!! Happy styling! xoxo more

This salon provides exceptional service! I stumbled across this salon today and will have to look no further for a stylist. When I walked in, every stylist was busy, but took the time to seek out someone that could best service my request. The stylist took the time, While assisting another client, to step away for a minute to answer all of my questions. This salon is a rare find. I am new to Alamo, from another country. I went to another salon, before finding Salon Prive. The stylist at another salon butchered my hair so bad, and refused to help me, when I complained to the manager. One of the skin care specialists at Salon Prive gave me the name of the owner, and told me she would definitely be able to help me with my hair. I met with the owner, and couldn't be more thrilled with the result. The owner did a fabulous cut for me. If you are new in town, and need a stylist, this salon has what you are looking for. more

I just got the best Brazilian Blowout! I purchased a salon package on AmazonLocal.com for this wonderful salon. They gave me the best Brazilian Blowout! My hair is naturally, not curly, but KINKY! Shirley managed to get it silky straight, a great haircut, and a deep conditioning mask for a deal. I'd go back to this salon, even if I had to pay the regular price. There is always a diamond in the rough, when searching for a deal on AmazonLocal, or LivingSocial. This salon is truly one of the best. I just gave Shirley's name to my family, and plan to give it to my co-workers on Monday. Thank you Shirley for my new look! Well..I'm back.. I had to update my review os Shirley and her wonderful salon and staff. The day Shirley did my hair extensions, seven of my friends asked me for her number,because they wanted her to do the same for them. This is got to be the absolutely fastest referral I have ever seen. shirleynagreed to do my extensions just for me, now she's got so many new clients breaking down the doors of her salon, trying to get an appointment. My friends absolutely love her work. The Warrior Girls also have been asking me for her information. They all say my extensions are the best and most natural looking they have ever seen. If you want an appointment, you'd better call soon! This salon is jumping! I love it! more

I have been going to get my hair cut and colored by Shirley for several months now. My color and cut are always consistent. One would think, it is so much easier for a man to get a cut. I beg to differ. Until finding Shirley, my salon visit was far from consistent. I love the zen atmosphere in her private suite. There is always nice music playing throughout the salon. I find it quite amazing, a man is made to feel so comfortable here. I have two daughters that now get their hair colored by Shirley too. My regular stylist has been out on a family emergency for the past two weeks. I love the fact that the owner allowed for special arrangements, to have an assistant work on Sundays, in her absence. As much as I love my regular stylist, I love the fact that they accommodated my needs on a Sunday for a special event. OtHer salons I have gone to, when your stylist is out, you are out of luck.. All the stylist use the same color line, which also makes it easy for them to help one another. The assistant got my color to match exactly. I no longer have to worry.. I have two stylist under the same roof! I strongly recommend you giving this salon a try. You will not have any regrets. more

I went into the salon on Friday morning thinking I had an appointment with my regular stylist. Much to my surprise, I was informed my stylist was out on a family emergency. I was faced with having to host a party of 120 guests with grey roots. I can't believe how nice the owner of the salon was. She offered to have herself and her assistant stay late to help me out with my hair emergency. Not only did they both stay to help me out, she matched my color exactly to what my regular stylist does for me. Thank you Shirley for saving my day! You are simply the best! more

I went in today as a model for a new stylist. Her name is Cortney. I absolutely love my new frizz free hair! Cortney did the best job on my Brazilian blowout. I went in as a model thinking it was going to be just an "OK" job. I walked out looking fabulous! I'd recommend her to anyone. Just goes to show you... Just because someone is new, doesn't mean they do poor work. I LOVE MY HAIR! more

I took my granddaughter in today to get a Brazilian blowout done by the owner, Shirley. The salon is so serene and peaceful, yet has that great buzz of a busy salon. Immediately as you walk in to this professional yet comfortable environment you are calmed by the relaxing music. Such a fabulous vibe. I personally went in to get hair extensions done by Shirley, the owner, and let me tell you, these aren't just extensions, these are AMAZING quality extensions called Great Lengths. Before, I had a short A-Line that was a little grown out and Shirley was able to give me an exotic long hair look (I like to think I look like Kim Kardashian LOL). If you didn't know me you would have no idea I got extensions because they are exactly matched to the color of my real hair and blended amazing. They are Keratin bonded onto my hair individually which takes patience, talent, and an eye for styling. And that is exactly what Shirley has. I would call her an artist, anything less would be an understatement. I have only had them for a day and four of my friends have already told me they wanted Shirley's number and they are very interested in going to her. This salon has such a variety of options that can't be beat. With the highest quality in everything, this salon is absolutely exquisite. I will be referring anyone and everyone I know. more

Best salon pick! I have found my beauty spot for life. The salon staff are so friendly and professional. I called for an appointment just before an i,portant event. I walked out with a beautiful new color! OMBRE! The latest in fashion color. I got just what I asked for, with only a picutre and bad hair color from my previous stylist. I'd recommend the salon highly. Going for a facial next. My stylist was running a few minutes late and the skin care specialist offered to have me come in her suite for a complimentary service. That is what I call real teamwork! They help each other out! I have never been to another salon where the stylist look out for each other. My visit was absolutely incredible! more

I just found a new skin care person. Her name is Elynn, and she works at Salon Prive in Alamo, Ca. I' am new to the area, therefore had to find all new personal care providers. I love, love Elyn, and my new skin. She is absolutely the best! more

Being of the male gender, I have always felt uncomfortable going to a salon for services. I went to Salon Prive, based on a referral from a co-worker. I received the most wonderful facial. I was made to feel comfortable, and welcomed. I will be returning. Men should take care of their skin too. This is definitely the place to go. The staff are so helpful and knowledgeable. I am somewhat new to the area, coming from Orinda. I looked at all the other salons, and fell in love with this one.
