Salon Prive'

This is by far the best salon I have ever been to in my life!!!! The owner Shirley greated me at the door when I walked in and assisted me in scheduling an appointment with her for like the next day. I explained that I was unsure of exactly what I wanted done to my hair but knew it was time for an upgrade in my look. Needless to say when I returned the next day she had all the FAB ideas about my new look she had spent time thinking about over night. I picked one and we went for it. While she was doing my hair we talked and talked about random things. She's so funny and friendly, kinda felt like the big sister I always wanted... I come from a family of all brother thus the upgrade makeover. Most salons I used to go to we're so rough with my hair even when I would say I have a sensitive scalp. Shirley was very understanding and gentle. Any who when my hair was all done it was GORGEOUS!!!! I loved it! I feel all brand new but still my same old self :) As for the salon... Welcome to Salon bliss! I love how each stylist has their own personal room so it's truly a one on one experience. There's no salon gossip in the background like most places where the attention focus of your stylist is directed in a million different places..... Just you and your stylist talking about you! it was very well decorated cozy and comfy. I will definitely be going back to this place and I recommend you do the same. Not to mention I saw there was an estitition there as well. What more could a girl as for.... Hair and facials all in the same spot. Haven't met the estitition yet but I heard from other people who have used her that she's amazing as well. Trust me... Do not be a stranger to Salon Prive!! Enjoy... more

I was at Pheasant Courtyard in Alamo having lunch one day, and saw this little salon called Celebration Salon. Last minute, I decided to walk in and ask for a "basic" hair color. There were only two people working. One apparently drunk in the middle of the day, and the other old lady using language only heard late night, on a street corner. I cant believe the conversation in that place, while I am sitting in the chair with color on my hair! They began to talk about another place in Alamo called Salon Prive. I have always believed, when a person speaks so badly about another business or person, while they are seemingly drunk, the truth has to be the opposite of what they say. By the way...my hair color turned out to be a disaster. Six weeks later, I thought I'd at minimum take a look at this Salon Prive they spoke so poorly of, out of curiosity. I walked in, was greeted by the most professional receptionist, and was amazed at how beautiful this place was. I asked if there were a stylist I could speak to about my hair color, which needed to be fixed from my previous salon experience, at the other place. The receptionist came back with the owner of the salon. After a lengthy consult, I decided to give this salon a try. All I can say is, "Thank you to Celebration Salon for unknowingly giving the wonderful referral to Salon Prive!" I have since gotten a wonderful facial, a custom spray tan, and the most gorgeous hair color I have ever had! The salon was busy, had great hair products, professional and friendly staff. What more could a girl ask for? Not to mention again, beautifully decorated, and a private suite too! Never once did I hear anyone in Salon Prive say a bad thing about another stylist or salon. Simply not enough space to write about my wonderful experience. I have found my new spot for hair and skin services. Salon Prive is the best ever! more

I recently moved to Alamo and searched all the surrounding salons. They were too chaotic, and there was one small place with an older black lady and a mexican lady working they both seemes drunk. Maybe because they work near a bar in the courtyard, they were very unprofessional. Salon PriveI was calm and the atmosphere inviting. I will definitely be back. more
