Salon Picasso

I tried Salon Picasso a week before my August wedding- why- because the expensive color I had done in a fancy Cherry Creek Salon had already faded. I had not been told during the booking that it was literally a day before they closed at that location, which I wish I would have known. I made it clear during the booking that I had a specific hair request and that I had THICK hair, so as not to surprise the stylist. That being said, I think the stylist had ideas of her own as to what color and highlight I wanted. I got a pretty bold brown against blond highlights when what I asked for was a more natural, better connected blond to compliment the blond that was already present. I expressed my dissatisfaction and was still charged full-price and told that I could make an appointment (in a few days) to correct the color at the new salon- which would have been fine if I had not been readying for my wedding. Knowing that I had to leave for the wedding in two days and could not reschedule, I paid the stylist and left in tears. Had I not had a clear vision of how I wanted to look for my wedding and expressed it clearly, I would not have complained at all- she did a good job, just not what I asked for. I think she also knew that I would not be coming back for correction and didn't care enough to fix my hair because they were moving to their new salon the next day. Pros: Nice location- although it doesn't exist anymore Cons: Did not get the cut and color I asked for more

The search is finally over!!! I've finally found my new Hairdresser! His name is Christopher at ""The Loft At Solera Salon"" (720)528-3466. I originally called because of all the great reviews left here for Salon Picasso and found that Salon Picasso had closed down. Christopher was the former owner of Salon Picasso, and with all the experience he said he has, I decided to trust him and give him a try. I can truly say that my search is finally over! He gave me the best color and cut that I've ever had. He really listened to me and offered the best professional service I've had in a very long time. It's great to have awesome hair again. more

So sad that Salon Picasso has closed. Stylists are still available at (Bella Mia Salon and Spa across Arapahoe), (Solera Salon Arapahoe & Yosemite), and (Blue Mist in Lone Tree). I got my hair cut there over a month ago and it still looks good. I used to go to the cheap places but would always end up with a horrible haircut (my hair tends to stick up in every way imaginable if cut wrong), but my wife had me try them out. The haircut has remained good through the past month and half, and the price was not that much more than the places that I used to go. To sum it up, I will definitely be returning. more

I just moved to Denver and (happily) this was the closest to where I live. On my first visit, I new I made the right choice and I am glad to have selected Salon Picasso. Everyone is wonderful there and offer great service. Highly recommended. more

This was my first vist to Salon Picasso and I am very happy with the results. Rebeca did an amazing job with my highlights, cut and style. She took her time, she listened to me, she showed me what products she was using and why, and how I can continue to create this style at home. She also followed up with a card a few days later to make sure I was happy with my cut and my experience there -- that was a first for me. In addition to the great service, the prices are very reasonable. I've had many compliments and I tell them all that I recommend Salon Picasso and Rebeca! I had my hair cut by Christopher and he did an amazing job. I don't think I'd be exaggerating by saying it's the best haircut I've ever had! Christopher is a very talented and informative fellow. The salon was very beautiful and the people very nice. When I first walked in they ask if they could get me coffee, tea or water. Jennefer Moore was my hair designer and she was wonderful. For once I got the hair cut I ask for, not too short. She actually listened to how I wanted my hair cut and did a great job. Then after I got home after a couple of days they called to see if I liked my hair cut! Now that is great service. Pros: It was all good, the service was great and my haircut was what I wanted more

For my second visit to this salon, I showed up for my appointment 10 minutes early only to wait 1/2 hour before I was told that my stylist wouldn't be showing up (I made the appt. 6 weeks earlier). The owner gave me a lame excuse about schedule changes and then had the audacity to ask if I could come back in 2 days at an inconvenient time. He should've been bending over backwards apologizing and trying to accommodate me. They charge you in full if you don't cancel your appointment 24 hours in advance, but don't value your time at all in return. Pros: parking Cons: everything else more

After going to other salons in this area, walking into Salon Picasso was like a breath of fresh air. No snooty, pretentious atmosphere here. I immediately felt comfortable and felt that the sytlist's main concern was that my expectations for my hair be met. I was very happy with the whole experience and feel good about going there and knowing the outcome will always be great. Would definitely recommend. more

The individuals at Salon Picasso are the first ones who have been able to spend the time to actually cut my hair without doing a poor job. I have tight curly hair and had never had a good haircut before I went to Salon Picasso. I have been going to Salon Picasso for years and I love it. The salon is very casual and the staff is very knowledgeable. It is not a pretentious place like some of the local day spas around town. The first time I had been to Salon Picasso was a few months ago, and I felt really intimidated when I walked in because I wasnt greeted how the other ""regulars"" were being greeted by the receptionist; But they did a great job on my hair cut so I decided to go back and give it another try. I went in last week and it was the best service I have been treated with in a long time. Right when I walked in the receptionist was a different girl than the one I saw last time and she greeted me with a smile and asked if she could take my coat for me or get me anything to drink and went to let my stylist know that I was ready for her, and she did it all with a smile!!! The hair cut once again exceeded all my expectations, the stylist took her time, she was talking to me the whole time giving me her advise on what she thinks would be best for my hair type, I got a wonderful head massage when she washed it, and she even talked me through all the products that she used and how to style it. I have to say this is a great salon with wonderful employees and stylists that make you feel comfortable and relaxed through the whole experience. I love the look and feel of Salon Picasso! As soon as I walk in the door there's someone there to greet me and offer something to drink. I don't just feel like a dollar sign walking in the door, they're there for me, to help me feel comfortable and important. I have NEVER had a bad haircut there! I've changed the color many times over the years, and it always turns out better than I expect! This last time that I went in, I had a dramatic change in my cut - 5 inches!!! And it looks amazing! The way my hair is with the thickness and curls, all of that was taken into consideration with the cut, which was great! They are very informative about the products used each time my hair is styled, but not pushy! I will be back time and time again!! It is a full service establishment! Pros: they do a great job! Cons: none that I can think of more

From the outside Salon Picasso is a simple unassuming occupant of a strip mall. Don't worry though, once you walk in you are greeted by a hip and funky design composed of bold primary colors and brushed metal. The receptionist knew my name when I walked in, probably because I was on time for my appointment, and immediately notified my stylist that I was there. Then she offered me a cup of coffee, bottle of water, or a glass of wine. My stylist promptly greeted me and asked me again if there was anything I wanted. My haircut came off without a hitch. It looks great if I do say so myself. The price of my service was quite reasonable considering the quality job that my stylist did. All in all this was a great experience. I would recomend Salon Picasso to anyone who wants a great haircut from a professional stylist. I will be back for sure!!! update to review : the owner responded to my message right away, and was very willing to work with me to make me happy. He spent two hours in the evening fixing the cut -- it now looks fantastic. He really took his time, and communicated to me what he was changing and why with each step. He also assured me he would address the needed issues with the stylist, who's not a salon employee.
