Good people working there, neighborhood feel. Extremely bad hair care in this salon.While visiting family, I went with my 2 girls to get there hair ""cool colored"" (streaks of pink, teal) in their hair. I also hope to squeeze in a trim (wash/cut/dry). Upon going in, the average age of clients was at least 4-5 decades older.As my girls were fortunate to happen upon Bethany, a young stylist, I breathed a bit of relief. The cool color streaks took a long time to do, but I didn't realize it was a two process step. The girls looks relieved that their colors came out great. Bethany is a sweet girl who knows her cool colors for sure.... Bethany's next customer was yours truly and I actually believed she would do a great job...Summary - she totally lacked ability to cut and style. I asked only for a trim of 1 inch off the bottom of my hair, I wanted was the dry ends off. Barely taper around the face as it was, barely trim the long bangs. Best Haircut, Color and Style in Years! 10/1/2010

I was recommended to Nikki by a co-worker and was not disappointed. After getting a bad color and cut from a previous hair salon, I was a little nervous. Nikki was fantastic! I received the best haircut, color and style in years. I was so happy that I didn't have to go home and wash it out right away! I wanted to go out and party on the town. Thanks Nikki! Brenda Is the Best! 9/25/2010

I started going to Brenda in May, 1974, (36 1/2 years ago). A friend of mine had been going to her and recommended her to me. She was working at a salon in Brooklyn Park, which is where I lived at the time, so it was very convenient. I had hair down to the middle of my back and wanted a change, so I decided to go SHORT. (I was the talk of the salon that evening!) Brenda did an awesome job then, and still does today - actually, I'd have to say she does a better job today - she's improved with age!!! :D I have lived in Elk River for 34 of those 36 years, and have followed Brenda from that salon in Brooklyn Park to Salon Marquee, and everywhere in between. We have developed a very special friendship over the past 36 years, not only in our ""professional lives;"" but, our personal lives, too. I trust her with with every hair on my head!!! I have always gotten compliments on my hair; both from people I know and complete strangers! The entire staff at Salon Marquee is wonderful! I feel like I'm among good friends when I'm there, because everyone is always so upbeat and cheerful, and we have a fun time; I look forward to my visits there. The only thing that could be better, would be if Salon Marquee opened a salon in Elk River and Brenda worked there!!! more

great hair day!!!!! 8/5/2010

I have been going to Salon Marquee for 3 years or so, I travel from the Dayton/ Otsego area. I feel so pampered from the time I arrive until I leave. I love the hot drinks I am offered, and freshened as I relax. I love laying down as my hair is washed, it's a treat in it self. I see Nikki most of the time but have tried others. Nikki suggests cuts and color and I am never disappointed, even when trying something new. I always get noticed after visiting Nikki, she recently suggested the Moroccan oil, I've used it for the last 21/2 months. People have complimented my shiny hair more now than ever. Thanks Nikki and Salon Marquee.I look forward to my August appointment!! more

Salon Marquee ~~ Great view of the Lake! 5/13/2010

Erin Schultz is great! I am new to Salon Marquee ~~ came from a fantastic salon in Maple Grove ~~ but this location is better for me. Plus it is nice to have one stylist who can process color, cut and style. Erin has been warm, friendly, and easy to talk to you. She did a nice job of discussing a ""plan"" for me! Thank you, Erin! Pros: Close to home ~~ Clean and Bright Salon Cons: No receptionist to greet you when you walk in. more

Karla's LCN Gel Nails Are Simply The Best 5/12/2010

I look forward to having my nails done every 3 weeks. Karla is very professional, yet at the same time very personable. I feel like I am visiting with a close friend. You can tell she knows her stuff when it comes to nails. I personally would never choose anything but LCN - it is a superior product and not harmful to your nails - the look is so natural. All I know is my nails always look amazing when Karla is finished with them. Wouldn't think of going anywhere else to have my nails done. Her pedicures are wonderful too! more

Cathy Hartsel has been doing my nails for years, and I have followed her as she has moved salons. She's the only nail tech that I've found that can make acrylic nails look natural. Not only is she skilled, but she is also fast, which is much appreciated when you are working on a tight schedule. I highly recommend her services for both manicures and pedicures! Erin always knows exactly what is in style & how to apply it to me. I moved here a couple years ago & was dreading finding a new stylist. Thank God found Erin! I won't go anywhere else. Great Lakefront Salon 12/3/2009

Brenda is an outstanding master stylist. Not only does she listen to your concerns and ideas, but also offers suggestions that will complement one's face and persona. She is always up to date on the latest styles, that includes colors, hilites, lowlites, cuts, texture, or whatever else one's cosmetic desire may be. She also gives a FABULOUS scalp massage! Highest rating for Laurie Boggess 10/20/2009

Laurie has cut and colored my hair for years. I wouldn't think of going to anyone else. She's a true professional, with the highest and most current technical knowledge and training as well as the instinct and talent to know what will work and what will look best for each client. Her warm and friendly personality makes it fun to sit in her chair. It's a place of great relaxation for me, knowing I'll be happy with Laurie's work. I highly recommend Laurie for any age - she knows how to cover my stubborn gray, and also delights in coloring my teenage daughter's hair in whatever color of the rainbow she desires! more

Josie Precht knows her color! 9/7/2009

Josie Precht has been tinting and foiling my hair for more years than I can remember. We started together at another salon and when she moved to Salon Marquee I had to move too. I don't trust anyone else with my color. She is extremely experienced in what she does and I have never had a bad color ever. She pays attention to her customers and is very personable and easy to talk to. If you haven't seen her in over a month, she can pick up the conversation from where you left off like you just saw her yesterday. On occasion I have seen when scheduling has schedules a few more appointments than what should be scheduled but Josie doesn't miss a beat, never gets flustered and gets everyone taken care of with ease. I trust her and know she can handle it all professionally and personally. more

Laurie Faber Boggess is wonderful! 9/5/2009

Laurie has been cutting and coloring my hair for several years. I have very thin hair and she always seems to cut my hair so it looks full of volume. She colors and highlights my hair to perfection each time! I absolutely have NO qualms about sitting in her chair and telling her ""do whatever you think is best"". I am always more than satified! I have been going to Kelly Schwab since she finished her training with Horst. I have very tight curly hair that can be very hard to cut. Kelly has always given me the best cut, color and style for my type of hair. more
