Salon Keiji

Just last Friday I went in to get my hair done by Karly. I wasn't exactly sure what I wanted, but I gave some ideas and then let her take over from there. I was absolutely amazed at the results!! The color was absolutely perfect! She gave me some layers to add texture and also cut some bangs for me. Seriously I am in love with my hair! The service was amazing! It was all about me and making me happy and satisfied with the ending result. Everyone there was friendly and helpful. I will most definitely be going back to get my hair done again!! more

I had my hair cut by my usual stylist about 2 weeks ago. It was blah, boring, and too conservative; essentially, my hair was everything I told my stylist I didn't want it to be (even with me showing my stylist about 10 pictures of my dream hair style). I found Salon Keiji on a whim and decided I had nothing to lose (but hair). When I arrived, I knew I would be in good hands after observing how much time they took to perfect a cut that other stylists would glaze over in 10 minutes. I spent about 5 minutes explaining what I wanted (without showing any pictures). What I got delivered ladies was unbelievable!!! I haven't had a superb hair cut like this since high school. My hair is now an asymmetrical layered bob, tapered in the back. I am natural, so I can wear this cut many different ways, since they took extra care to ensure that I could change my side parts, not have a part, manipulate my bangs, wear it kinky/textured or flat-ironed, etc. Since getting my hair cut last night, I have received about 10 compliments and counting. And I feel like my old self again...naturally beautiful! You can't put a price on what a good haircut and style does for a woman's soul. My advice: go to Salon Keiji. You will < 3 the results. I drive over 1 hour to see Greig for my hair. He always knows exactly what I need done. Color and highlights are perfect and so is the cut! I have had several services at Salon Keiji and have NEVER been dissapointed. We love the experience of just being at Salon Keiji. We feel like everyone is our friend! Greig was honest, methodical, creative and empathetic. He transformed my hair and took it beyond my expectations. Bigger to me, he stuck with the process and was incredibly patient. I can't say enough good things. Truly. more

My many visits to Salon Keiji has been above par. Having had Keiji as my stylist, and knowing my style(s), feel comfortable when he suggest someone on his team to work with me should I walk in and request someone with the ability to do damage control. more

I saw good reviews on this salon so I decided to give it a try. My stylist's name was ""Claw"". yeah... that should have been my first clue. I could barely communicate with him as his english was VERY bad and he didn't understand much. My hair washing session was awful. Just fast and no scalp massage or anything. I could have done a better job myself. He didn't do anything I asked him to do on my haircut. I told him I needed his opinion on what would flatter my type of face around my face. He had no idea what I was talking about. I got the blank stare look. Ok then.... Basically I got an expensive wash and blow dry. I asked him to NOT flat iron my hair but he did it anyway. He had frizzed my hair out when he attempted to blow dry it. He used NO product in it and then fried it with the flat iron! I should have run OUT of that place. I paid my bill but left NO tip. The girl at the front desk asked me if anything was wrong and I told her everything. She said she could get someone else to fix it if I came back next week. She was helpful and very nice and I felt bad for her. But I wanted nothing to do with the place after that experience. As I was ""having my hair done"", I noticed one other stylist doing someone's hair and she spent over 10 min. trying to fix her flat iron with a screw driver!! She finally went and borrowed someone elses and then dropped it on the floor with a LOUD BANG. She probably broke that one! I immediately drove over to Aveda Landis and they worked me in and I had my hair redone and got a nice cut. LUCKILY, Claw didn't over cut. He really didn't do much of anything - just made a few texturing cuts into the top half. more

Keiji at Saloon Keiji is so very talented that I wouldn't go any where else, and haven't for the last 6 or 7 years. My hair ALWAYS looks great when Keiji has worked his magic on it. To say that I go to Salon Keiji to get my hair cut leaves out the critical information that my hair is styled during the cut. Keiji attends to each hair during the cutting process. He turns the scissors just so to get the ends of each hair to lie in the direction wanted for the style. He checks and rechecks as he cuts and takes the time needed to assure that you look great when you leave. After he blows out my hair and applies a straightening iron, he again checks and adjusts any hair that may have been missed snipping here and there so that the style is just right. At home I have no difficulty recreating the style. I have to admit there are times when I have not been able to get back to Salon Keiji quickly enough to maintain the style, and even though it grows out too much it still looks good. I have been Keiji's customer for over 15 years and love how I look. You will, too. more
