Salon Genesis

I have searched for years to find this quality and excellence. I found this location and stylist through a friend about a year ago. I drive over 50 miles from the South Puget Sound area to see Danielle. She carries an creativity, excellence and expertise that I have not found for years at any level. She quickly assesses your style and what may look better, but with your needs in mind. When she cuts my hair, it seems to find it's own place without much styling and the cuts grow out so evenly. She has colored my hair each time, and is covering my gray hair as well as highlighting. I receive constant compliments on my hair and how much it has added a youthful appearance to my face. I would drive to Eastern Washington for this stylist and salon. I have noticed that the other stylist carry the same excellence as Danielle. The atmosphere is classy and comfortable. The decor and the hospitality is of the highest caliber. You will never be disappointed by this stylist and this salon. They are truly ""amazing"". As a 7 year stylist, I have very high expectations when it comes to my hair and can be difficult to please. I just had my hair cut by Danielle and I look amazing! She did an great job and I would recommend this salon to anyone. Salon Genesis is a small boutique shop which almost always means the stylists are more experience and talented since they can't hide behind the marketing machine or clout of large corporate salons (ie-GJ) to get clients. These stylists rely on their own expertise and creativity to keep clients coming in and coming back. The stylists here are talented, fun, creative and real artists. As someone who worked in the industry for years, I always look for small independent shops to find the best talent. Salon Genesis is fantastic! I just want to thank the one user who told me where to find Stephen! I was so bummed when I heard he wasn't at Salon Genesis anymore but am so grateful I got on the internet and found him! I saw him at Obadiah Salon in Bellevue and am so happy I didn't lose track of him! Loved Stephen and love Obadiah!! I must say Salon Genesis is a great Boutique Salon in one of the most beautiful areas Washington has to offer. Salon Genesis is little and quaint, with a new look a new flare! Danielle the owner, along with Ashley and Nicolette are the best hair designers I know. Not only are they extremely talented but they have a love for people that is rare and refreshing, it truly shows that Salon Genesis is more than a hair salon but a place of Re-Birth of image as well as spirit and soul! It does prove that the best things come in small packages! Here at Salon Genesis they do know the art in appreciating small beginnings. Here you will get what you pay for, and GREAT talent comes at a price, don't let the size of the salon affect the outcome of your decision in becoming a family member to this fast growing salon!!!!! I know I am not the only professional businesswoman whose appearance at conferences, meetings, and seminars is extremely important. How many times have you at the last minute walked into, and I use the term lightly, ""notable uptown hair salon,"" desperate for a last minute hairdo for the evening's event only to leave there upset. You drive straight home, don't pass go, don't collect $200.00 and hope you do not run into anybody you know who will see this horrid hair style. Instantly upon reaching home, you wash and dry your hair all over again. \r \r The real irritation, of course, is having paid for a really bad product that you would be embarassed to appear in public with, and the guy keeps telling you how great you look. Hmmmm, how much was that tip????\r \r NOT SO with Salon Genesis. These young ladies are creative, courteous and in reality the place you will continue going back to. Only those that are very, very good at what they do work at Salon Genesis. So, I am a guy who likes to get his hair done at least once a month. Many of the eastside salons I was trying were loud and cold feeling and everyone that worked there had an obnoxious, ""You should feel lucky I'm doing your hair"" attitude. Then a buddy of mine in a band recommended I try Salon Genesis. It was the best experience of my life! (in terms of hair salons. haha.) Nicolette did an incredible job on my hair! She was quick and efficient and had a better vision for my hair than I could have imagined! There was good music, at a reasonable volume :-) a clean atmosphere, and they had coffee and tea for me to drink. Overall, I loved it and will never go anywhere else! I have been overcharged all over town by hairdressers that are not worth the work they do. All I have been looking for is a nice, down to earth hairdresser that will listen to what I want and deliver it. also, I cant stand when I am at a salon for 4 hours. Who has 4 hours to spend in a hair salon? I was recommended to Salon Genesis by many girls that work at Nordstrom in Bellevue. They really struck gold with this salon! They said that the atmosphere was boutique, and the vibe very chill. They recommended I go see Nicolette. She was booked out a week in advance, but well worth the wait! She gave me highlights, I would have paid double for and a haircut that was unbelievable! She is really funny, and actually cares what you ask for! I would highly recommend her and the salon. This is an overrated salon in the Kirkland area. Trust me when I say you are paying for the view and not the quality of work. Cuts are average to good and color is excellent. However the prices are ridiculous for what you get. No scalp massage, no offer of coffee or tea, no robes, no dressing room, and no other forms of pampering. The salon is a tiny hole in the wall and there is barely any room to move in there. The prices are equivelent to Seven -7- and Obidiah in Bellevue but yet the offerings, surroundings and quality of work is below that of other top salons in the area. I don't know how they can jusify what they are charging. This salon cannot compete with other high end salons unless they make some serious changes. Although the location is convenient for me, I will not be returning. I would highly recommend Salon Genesis. I decided to let Danielle cut and color my hair with what she thought would look best on me. I have received more compliments on this hair cut and color than any I have ever had. My new style is easy to care for and she has shown me a few different ways to wear it. The bonus is that everyone that has complimented me has also told me I look at least 10 years younger.... at 45 years of age that is quite a compliment. Thanks Danielle, your amazing!
