This is one of my favorite Salons since I've moved to Brooklyn, a friend of mine recommend me and they did a great job with my hair. I recommend to others

This place is THE BEST place to get your hair done in NY - I have been going to Luba for 4 years now and I refuse to go to anyone else. She is always willing to discuss my concerns/likes/dislikes and I always leave feeling great. I also always look forward to our conversations! Highly recommend!! more

I have been coming to this salon now 1/22/2015

I have been coming to this salon now for almost 5 years, Luba is an amazing hair stylist and the best when it comes to color, highlights you name it. On a whim I found this salon on yelp and decided to setup an appointment with Luba she knows her stuff and she definitely achieves the look your asking for. I normally don't write reviews but I feel she is a daimond in the rough in this city :-) more

Ok, I'm officially in love. Can't believe I took a year to find this place. Luba is the best! Very talented and it worth every penny paid. Cut and color: beautiful! Certainly recommended and I'll come back soon! It took me 14 days to schedule with Luba but it worth it. more

I did a lot of research about this salon and Luba inparticular, and I couldn't be happier with the customer service experience or Luba's talent. She gave me the exact coloring that I was looking for and is very knowledgeable about taking care of your hair after it has been dyed. I will never go to anyone else for my coloring services. more

Luba is the best! From the moment I 6/30/2014

Luba is the best! From the moment I walk in the door at salon she is there with a smile. In fact all of the staff I encounter says hello, including Robert the owner. Luba always remembers what we did the previous time but still takes the time to discuss how it worked and what I want to do this time. She never assumes it's the same old thing like some stylists I have encountered at other salons. If I don't know what to do, she offers her advice. And the results are fantastic!! The cut always feels great and grows out well and the color is amazing! Seven weeks later, I'm due for highlights, and I still get compliments about my hair!! That is an excellent stylist! And it is not a one time thing, I've been going to Luba for 5 years and I consistently get compliments about my hair, that didn't happen before Lisa! I never feel rushed at and I always enjoy my time there. Which means I am always happy to return. This review is long overdue but sometimes you don't want to share your secret. Lucky you if you see Luba. Thank you Luba! more

LOVE THIS PLACE. I am very picky about my hair but this is pure QUALITY. My stylist Luba took so much time doing my highlights and they came out fabulous!!! And at a very decent price---only $115 when it would have cost up to $200 somewhere else. You will not be disappointed with the excellent service (they went out twice to put more quarters in my parking meter, once w/o me even asking) and really they treat clients so well. Make an appointment NOW!! more

Every time I go to Salon De Larue, I 10/21/2013

Every time I go to Salon De Larue, I leave looking fabulous and better than I expected. Not only do they make you look great, but also feel great. The friendly staff has done an amazing job of making their clients feel welcome and at home in their stylish atmosphere. I have been going to Salon De Larue since they opened and every time I tell Luba exactly what I want and she is not only follows through perfectly, but adds her trendy touches just for me. I moved out of the area and refuse to find a new salon because I won't let anyone else touch my hair besides her! The drive is worth the service and results! more

Stacy is absolutely one of the best 7/25/2013

Stacy is absolutely one of the best hairstylists I've been to. She started doing my hair extentions and not only have I received amazing compliments, but my natural hair has become more healthy than ever before. I used to wear clip-ins and I developed bald spots in certain areas. Stacy's technique with hair extentions made my bald spots disappear and my natural hair looking and feeling so much better. If you are looking for a salon that is 4/30/2013

If you are looking for a salon that is FANTASITC with color- this is your place. As a professional speaker my hair MUST look perfect. Luba is who I found at Salon De Larue and she is outstanding! They have a number of excellent stylists. When I first went there they thought my color needed a re-do- and the cut was all wrong for my face. So I closed my eyes and let them do their magic- wow- what a difference! Even my husband commented on how great a job they do. I've been hooked ever since- and that's been 4 years now. more

I go to this salon every few months and 10/10/2012

I go to this salon every few months and whenever I go, I always see Luba. I have been going to her for over 3 years and I absolutely LOVE the way she cuts and colors my hair! I am a blonde and I feel that Luba really knows what she's doing every single time. I have NEVER been disappointed with the end result. At salons I've been to in the past, the hairstylists always take forever and I'm there for hours (which I hate)! With Luba...that is NOT the case. She is so focused and efficient and always pays great attention to detail and really listens to what you are looking to do with your hair. I would highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for a fantastic hair stylist! more

I was afraid of going to a different 8/29/2012

I was afraid of going to a different place for a hair cut ,but after reading all the good reviews about this place, I really wanted to give it a try! Nice place, friendly staff and I left happy with the hair cut I got (Stacy took good care of me) For a first time, I had a good experience, I really recommend this place =) more

Great colorist!. I went to Luba the first time because I'd botched my own hair color pretty badly. I wanted to lighten my dirty blond hair and wound up with brassy, yellowish-green streaks in it. I read a good review of her online and decided to give her a try. She restored my natural hair color and gave me beautiful highlights that looked completely natural. I also found her to be very sweet person so I've been back several times. A complaint I have with other colorists is that they start the highlights way too far from my scalp so I leave the salon looking like I got my highlights done a month or two ago rather than that day. Luba never does this. Her highlights always start right near my scalp. I think she's great and highly recommend her! more

I Love This Girl. 4/9/2012

If you want your hair done exactly how you want it, go see Luba. I went through a few stylists in Park Slope before finally finding her and I will not go to anyone else. I naturally have that not-so-cute dirty blonde hair so I go in to get blonde highlights to brighten me up every few weeks.Luba knows exactly how to freshen me up and make it look exactly how I want it. And I'm very picky about how I get my hair cut and she always, and I mean always, does it perfectly. If you're not happy with your current stylist or have just moved to the Park Slope area and don't know where to go, go see Luba at this salon. She is really great. You will not be disappointed. Oh, and she is just the biggest sweetheart. Just an added bonus! more

It Is The Best Hair Salon In Park Slope. 3/27/2012

I was recommended to Luba by my friend and from the minute I walked in the door I had one of the best experiences I have ever had at a salon. She is super friendly and talks to you about your desired outcome and gives terrific recommendations. It was important for me not to sit in the chair for 3 and half hours like other salons. She got me out in under 2 hours and Iooking and feeling great. I got highlights, cut, and blowdry. This truly was one of my best highlights and cuts ever and I have been coloring my hair for 15 years. SUPER NATURAL! I have gotten a ton of compliments too. I will never go back to anyone else. Luba ROCKS!! more

Best Hair Salon In Park Slope. 3/1/2012

Got my haircut and color the other day and at my weekly meeting that I have I had people telling me how good my hair looked. Several people actually thought I had lost weight. It was amazing, these are people I see every week, who have never even noticed a haircut before. Great Job! And Great Team! more

This is a great example of how wonderful City Search works. I recently moved to Park Slope and was looking for a great, affordable salon. After reading a few reviews about Salon De Larue I decided to give it a try. It's scary to go to a new hairdresser but I had a wonderful experience with Luba. She had rave reviews on Sity Search and she lived up to all of them. I entered the salon with a bad haircut and bad color job...she turned it around and I've gotten multiple compliments on her highlights and lowlights. I would highly recommend her for her professionalism and affordability. As a side note, I tried out their aesthetician Bela she was great. Overall, AMAZING SALON, AMAZING PRICES. A+++ more

Luba change my life! 4/22/2010

About two months ago I went to Luba and got the brazilian keratin treatment and it is AMAZING!! I loved it and has basically changed my life :) before I had frizzy big curly hair and now I have smooth beautiful wavy hair! and also straightening only takes me 10 to 15 minutes and before it took me about an hour. The salon has a friendly staff and a great enviroment! I recommned everyone to go there because it's the best!!! Pros: The other clients were really nice more
