I have been going to Salon Cuvee for 5 years and have been pleased with my experiences. However, the most recent hair service that I have with the hair dresser Mikaela was the worst experience I have ever encountered. I came into the salon for an all over hair color. The stylist advised me after the service that the color may not stay/fade and that it may be necessary for me to come back in and have it fixed at no cost. Within 24-48 hours I noticed that the color had faded drastically, so I booked an appointment 6 days after the original service for a redo. After the service, I was shocked to learn that I was again billed for the color service. I asked the girl at the counter for clarification of the charge and she was extremely rude. Without acknowledging me she turned to another receptionist to get Miakaela. When Michaela came to the front, she was very defensive and aggressive while explaining the charge to me. She said to me “I don’t want any problem.” Being that I am not an aggressive person I felt that it was worthless to continue to argue the charges with her because she was not trying to work with me.
I decided to dispute the charge with my credit card company because I was not going to pay over $200 for a simple hair color service. Within two weeks after I disputed the charge with my credit card company I received a nasty letter from the owner of the salon, along with Mikaela’s statement of the incident, advising me to cancel the dispute.
Upon reading the letter, I was appalled at the audacity of the owner and her lack of professionalism. This situation could and should in fact have been handled differently. As stated before, I have been quite pleased with my past experiences and had every intention of continuing to seek future services with Salon Cuvee. I was not asking for anything out of the ordinary, just what I paid for and was promised. Brenna Simon, as owner of the salon, did not take responsibility in the situation.
